both trs drives redone 2 weeks ago and new props, but we really need another boat that we can sleep on problem is i love Magnums and really would miss it, i allmost let it go on a trade for a 1985 cig 35ft that would have been nace, but just love the mags
Len over the last 35 years I have owned over 15 boats. By far the Magnum was the coolest, next my 38' KV Scarab, but the only boat I ever bought twice was the Mirage 29' SS. The Mirage has the hull of a Mag, big cockpit and sun pad & nice cabin. I thought about that 35' Cig you looked at but just to big like the Scarab. That why I went back with a Mirage, they built them tuff, and even came std with the solid race engine mounts. With more room it's a great second choice to a Magnum. There are a few out their, but not as popular as a Mag, but when [THE WOLVERINE] & [LiL RHINO] Mirage's raced, many pleasure versions appeared on Lake St Clair. Just my 2 cents. What will a Mag or Mirage be worth in 5 to10 years ???? But the way they built them you can bet they will still be around, not like alot of there copies.

Its been way to quiet here lately, so here are some pic's given to me from Rich [ beakman] They are from a 1975 Lake St Clair race. This was my first race but I remember this start, I had to start in the rear of the field with my 24' jet drive Cheetah, M-77. The Magnums Wolverine and Lil Smidgen, & Lil Rhino can be seen in these shots, along with many Nova's, and the 24' Cobra [Smidgen Too] that I now own, they all left me in there wakes. I didn't care, I was racing against Pete Smith, Wally Harper & Ken Black.

Great I'm glade I could help, where will he keep her up by you ? I wish the last pic's I posted were better because I know this Mag was in that race also. With these old girls you don't have to run 100mph to have FUN !!!

Mike glade to here that your keeping the Magnum, did you really get a house boat ? Dave and I are going down to Key West for the worlds with many of the Lake St Clair gang, I hope to get the guys that promised me Magnum pic's from the 70's to find, and post them. Hopefully the Tiki bars in the Keys will jolt there memories. Sounds like will be making road trips to see your Magnum's progress this winter.
