After looking at a few more pic's this Magnum,, Chartreuse became Bonanza and now the Mag on boat trader ,, same chicken bar's

This Magnum Maltese was called DATSA ME, I believe it only raced one season, this Mag was also lost in the fire.

thanks a ton mark.....Man i love seing the mags back in the day.....It really sucks that events like that dont really take place anymore.........Thanks for the pics.......My only question is was my mag double vision first then yellow zonker or the other way around.....The only reson i ask is zonkers number was p-88 and double was p-38........I am thinking i might put the number back on on vinyl to see how it looks..........

nocig your Mag was Zonker S-88 first,, then became Double Vision S-88,,, lastly M-38. Some time around 1985 APBA droped Sport class, leaving the Mag to drop down to modified class..

Here is another pic of Chartreuse winning the River Crab Classic, run on Lake Huron in 1977. Owend by Gil Lieber of Ohio at that time , later to find a home on Lake St Clair.

That was my favorite Magnum raceboat, it always kicked ass. That was the class of the 27' raceboats.

Anaconda was another Magnum Sport that raced on lake St Clair in the 70's.

Yes it was for sale on boat trader the guy who race's the Cigarette Unleashed in OPA I heard bought it. It's found a home back on Lake St Clair.
