The 28 is really what I'm curious about. The 27 Mags do seem narrower than the Pantera in some photos.
Yes the 28 Pantera might be a few inches wider cuz the taller freeboards. My 28 Arrow (Mag27 freeboards) are 233cm beam.

That's one of the early factory outboard boats.......probably late 60's (the boat).

H20, thanks for the photo, by the way. That really flipped a light bulb on in my head when I saw that.

The "two" boats that are pictured are the Second-ish Pantera 28 race boat ever built. It was a '78 originally and then was re-built and updated into an '89 at some point... It comes up for sale frequently on eBay and there's a great deal of discussion in the Pantera section.

On LSC we have some nice Panteras too, Ygrowup use to race with the P-21 team. And the LSC M-8 became this white an blue Pantera of Mark P. Can't forget Bill, [OPA here on OSO] he has 2-1/2 Pantera's, a 24' & 28' , and the deck of the old DOUBLE CROSS hanging in his restaurant.

Man that's great stuff! you north coasters sure know how to do it! And what's with Panteras and turn bouys? Every shot I see, the Pantera looks like it's about to tackle the bouy! Great photo!

I knew a guy (friend of a friend) in the Thousand Islands who, I think, had an old Mag... It was a blue boat called Snap Shot. The family owned a camera shop in Syracuse. Anyone know the boat?

So, does anyone know? Looking at the 27 Mag, it looks like a cutdown Pantera. I'm guessing that the 28 Mag maybe got cut into the 27 and maybe (to be polite) has a direct paternal influence on the 28 Pantera.

I posted a photo of a Mag that looks very "Pantera" to me...
I'm glad I waited and not left Sunday for Your area. I accidentally discovered today a semi neglected 27 Magnum Donzi at a local boat dealership in storage. It's owned by the dealership. Drove by tonight and snuck a peak has 3 outboards on back. I'm going to retry buying Her after I get pictures posted in Classic section, confirm that She is what I think................... It was love at first sight!
