I would absolutly go with shorties....Two inches up should be plenty, remember it is easier to buy spacers to go down then to redue engine mounts and transome filling ..

-----Ian,,,Get any references to Trump or Trump water off the boat unless you are shooting for a spot on the "Apprentice". The azz-wipes will want you to pay them a royalty or something. That was all them and had nothing to do with Skip and Chuck. Glad to see you guys having fun. You will have to come north at some point to "Short Circuits" home base. I know Chuck would dig it. Maybe another get-together or something similar!!!..........Bill S

Glade to here all is well now, she looks GREAT. If this is a bit of justice the local rumor mill has it that the bank may have repoed a few more of his prized boat's.

HAHAHAA

Yep I really will get that Trump crap off of there.......Let the azz-wipes try to collect .....I'd love to have them stop by

Anyway, I agree....I have not removed it yet because I plan to have the upper cover repainted and the EXACT decals made that Skip and Chuck had there...I just need to find photos of the original cover.......

Thanks Bill

Question Not sure on top speed

Don't really know top speed yet.

The Dyno results showed 491HP at 6600 RPM with both engines matched within 5hp.

I took it out by myself and hit 80 with about 1/4 throttle remaining and turning 5100RPM....

So I guess that really does not answer the question completely but gives an idea....

Someday I'll push it and see what it will do.

I know at 80 it wasn't struggling...

Honestly I don't want to break it after all of that work

Take Care

Ian
