Can anyone estimate I/O H.P. to run 65--70--75 in a MAGNUM SEDAN ? App. weight that I have found is 5,400# . Thanks in advance.......HIGH LIFE

For what its worth, I used to race a 28 Pantera with an HP 500, it was 5300 lbs and it ran exactly 70mph. I would guess 575 to get to 75mph.

I have twin 350 mags w/250pshp.
I have always run a solid 65 on radar.
another 100 hp per side should do it.

What drive, Merc or Volvo. With 300 hp, Merc Trs 65mph, Volvo 60 to 62mph.

Twin 320 EFIs and Bravos....66mph on GPS with bottom paint.

The reason I asked the question was to compare I/O to O/B power. For the last couple of years I was running '98 Merc Pro Max 300's, I just bought 4- Merc Pro Max 300X 2003year w/ Sportmaster L/U w/ 1.25" shafts. Only installing 2, selling the other 2. With the 300's boat ran 71GPS @ 6,100RPM, the X motors run up to 6,800 RPM. Have not run boat yet, delays were one thing after another!!! Will keep updates as thing progress. HIGH LIFE
