Great to hear that things were okay from the storm, I talked to my family just north of you in Ocean Township and they were fine also
Both my Danforth compasses were mounted in front of the flat wind screen on the deck, one on my side and one for the Nav.
There use to be a guy in Briellie or Point that would fix them and then would calibrate them on your boat. he did mine before i raced the Benihanna GP
Thank you
Jim

Up until 78 or so most of the high performance boats, race boats too, used the Danforth. I was one of the teams that did the testing for Ritchie. Ritchie used a very high grade oil that acted as a dampener for the card when it spun. To be period correct, use the Danforth, to have the best high speed compass, use the Ritchie.

I remember a Ritchie compass advert with your boat and quotation.
What did you do with the Firehawk cars?
