Pete,
Alot of the raceboats from the 70's ran Ritchee Compass'. I was just looking thru some old Race Programs (while moving them out of harms way due to Irene) and Ritchee was often an advertiser. I'll check to see which models were being used. Hope this Helps.
How is the boat coming along??
Bob

Bob,

Thanks for weighing in.........The dash has a 6" Dia. circular cutout. no doubt, they didn't scimp on the size of the compass. Probably very expensive whether Ritchee or Dansforth.
The boat is coming along, just got alot of deck hardware chromed and also ordered alot of missing stuff.

Pete,

i hope everyone in NJ -NorthEast did okay with Irene last weekend.

The Plum Crazy(Sea Wraith) Magnum Sport had two Danforth Hi Speed Constellations also, It came with one and I added the second one. It was fairly large across the glass bowl was about 5-6 inches across

Thank you
Jim

Scippy all of my compasses were high speed Danford, unless they were new. Have a place that I send mine for repair,I will check and see if they have any used ones. Also just got in the hub medallions and replacement steering wheel hubs...they look great.Bud

Default Danford compass

Scippy, have not received pkg.yet.Attached are pictures of 6inch maybe even larger high speed Danfords.I will check out size the next time I am there. Just to get it repaired it was $850 for the pair, but well worth it.I been told old Danfords are better than the new ones.Bud
