Hi Marshall, sorry for not responding sooner. I am certainly taking all the input to heart . Before I commit to any combination I am certainly going to make sure it will fit . If I remember correctly the opening to the bilge is about 65 inches . So if I have to a bit of trimming I might be able to make it work , it if requires major surgery I will certainly go in a different direction. As for TRS parts I think I am good at this point but will connect with with you if my deal doesn't work out.
RG.

Just for reference, here are some shots of a nicely rigged Mag with SBC/Bravo's. Don't freak out, it's on a trailer at a ramp in these shots.

Buck,

Did you move to Oakville? Thought you were in Tawrawna.

I do not know. The current owner, who bought the boat from my late father, is Rick (I forget his last name). Be bold, knock on the door and ask him.

I miss that boat.

I think I'll go & knock on the door and see what's up myself. Where on Priceton in Brick is it?....any land marks close by?

Stephen,
I lost the info on the engine builder you recommended (to me) awhile back.......if you don't mind. Scippy

Here is a few pics of my Magnums -
The Red one had a set of 500 ci engines with Bravo 1 drives . I rigged it and set the motors on 33" centers and the x at 16.5" . Exhaust was the Glenwood logs which ran straight out the transom . They were a bit low and water entering the pipes was always a concern . This boat turned 25 " mirages at 5900 rpm and ran 85 ish .
the boat i have now is my goumada " race boat and you can see the single engine setup . I put a fresh transom in this boat and the X is around 17 " . The 570 CI engine solid roller motor would push it to 81 mph .
From my experience , if you want to run in big water the single engine setup is the way to go . the boat has much better balance with the single vs the twins . the twins however were still a nice setup .

I will have this boat back in the water next spring and hope to run a few races with her . New power is a fresh 548 CI , 625 hp .

I sold the single engine Mag race boat and brought it back from Texas 2 years ago . I stripped it , shot it with fresh Awlgrip , and am in the process of re-rigging . I will post some pics later this week .
