Here is a few pics of my Magnums -
The Red one had a set of 500 ci engines with Bravo 1 drives . I rigged it and set the motors on 33" centers and the x at 16.5" . Exhaust was the Glenwood logs which ran straight out the transom . They were a bit low and water entering the pipes was always a concern . This boat turned 25 " mirages at 5900 rpm and ran 85 ish .
the boat i have now is my goumada " race boat and you can see the single engine setup . I put a fresh transom in this boat and the X is around 17 " . The 570 CI engine solid roller motor would push it to 81 mph .
From my experience , if you want to run in big water the single engine setup is the way to go . the boat has much better balance with the single vs the twins . the twins however were still a nice setup .
I will have this boat back in the water next spring and hope to run a few races with her . New power is a fresh 548 CI , 625 hp .

Is GOUMADA a 27 sport?......Looks alittle different from the deck on through to the smaller cockpit. I guess race setup...right?
With the single big power (half the weight back there) would you say is the reason you feel it's more balanced?......Love the idea though, one big engine, one half less of everything . Do you still carry the 2 belly fuel tanks under the cabin sole?...........Where's home for Goumada?......I'm in Jackson, NJ.

The boat was originally a twin engine Starfire , which rich maunders of intense marine modified. The deck is a flat and the cockpit has a custom aluminum fairing.
With less ass weight it rides and flies straight , especially in the ocean.
I just pushed the tanks forward 3 feet , so they now reside in front of the fairing . This is probably where they were originally .
Currently I am working on it in north jersey , but next year it will be down in Forked River .
I have a fresh 548 , 625 hp engine for her . We hope to put her back in some local races also .
