Yes sir, have a friend that does glass work for a living that's helping through this project. Plan is to get the hull finished and put away for the summer. Then complete the boat next winter If I can wait that long??? Have to wrap up the Cig first.

Here is what it looked like before Mike had it painted white.

This was pretty cool looking. Hard to see all the detail in this picture

Mark, Thanks for finding the photo of her. I was thinking of going with more red on the sides if I can flatten the sides out from previous paint jobs. Learning how to work the air file very well. lol Made my day.

Removed the insert and scraped the paint off. Lightly sanded the insert and saw the wood grain. The bottom of the insert is fiberglass. Is the insert top wood or Formica? Any help on bring wood look back is appreciate?

Hello Greg,

Your Sport is coming along great,, its will be a nice looking sport when you are done.

Check with Aaron (24 degrees) or Jeff (hallj) on here,, I believe that they both replaced their deck inserts with real wood about 2 years ago. Am sure they can help with how to re-finish yours or make a new wood insert.. If you search on line here you should be able to find the post where Aaron did his
When I had my sport , I painted to the insert to match the purple hull sides

Thank you
Jim
