Trailer Magnum 27 ???
 

Presently my 27 sits on a roller trailer that has no brakes, needs a new winch and some other work . . and it's ugly . .

Fit for a Baja Islander 29 which also has a 24 degree vee bottom and is 28 feet long . .

thoughts please!!! Is it overkill . . . and what will I need to modify to make the Magnum fit?

Mario I had one like that under my first 29' Mirage, great trailer for fresh water as it's steel. Here is a new aluminum one I saw on craigslist for $4359.00.

Mario I put a nextrail under my magnum. nice trailer easy to adjust to the hull. Paid around what Mark(H2O) posted and they dropped it off in my driveway.

Mario, Nextrail is a good trailer, bought one for my donzi. I have the exact Loadrite that mark linked for my magnum, it's really well built. I don't think you want to mess around with a steel trailer, if you ever want to go in salt its all over.

Nextrail has given me a great price delivered, but for a 6 wheel, should I get a four wheel? My thoughts are that the latter might be easier to park and negotiate? . . the 4 wheel is a bit more expensive as the twin heavy duty axles cost more than the 3 light duty axles. I've been trailering lots of longer enclosed three axle 2 car trailers with a fifth wheel hitch . . and don't want to be as limited towing a small 27' boat . . . am I right or wrong?

Is Load Rite, Nextrail, and Venture any different in quality?

Had a venture under a aero. My opinion nexttrail is a better compared to the venture. Have one under my cig too.

I think any 27 mag would be best suited for a quality (as stated above) dual axel alum i beam. just be a touch careful when submerge, as the trailer may want to float…

I have used south fl trailers in the past with good luck. I worked for a man who bought a few new nextral and we needed to stiffen the i beam with supports. this could be a issue that the co has since solved. best of luck and show us how you make out!

IMHO - a 27' is perfectly suited to a quality tandem. A triaxle is just further expense when considering the time you have to replace rubber and tri's do wear tires faster manovering in turns. On a similar note, I have never appreciated the thoughts of light duty axles under a trailer when nearing weight limits even when the option was for tandems or triaxles that would cover the load requirements.

Spend the money on better axles/rubber upon purchase and the return is worry free and straight line towing...again, it's just IMHO

16" E-load rated wheels and tires on a tandem trailer would be ideal.

What is the weight rating of the axles they are spec'ing on the tandem trailer?

The more bunks the better, especially two cradle/centering bunks up front.
