in most things in life if you fail you can just get up and try again, with boats you fail you are upside down in the water and/or possibly dead. i have driven everything from a 36 skaters to top guns for the past 12 yrs and was confident in my skills...i just got finished taking the tres martin course today and it was well worth it...highly recommended

Not at all what I said. I said that they turn as well IF set up properly. Set up properly was kinda the point here. Which I assume would be a point made in your classes. Brain dead and reckless is not going to work with many of the newer step bottom hulls. Am I fairly close on this one???

All depends on what boat & speeds your referring to.

Stepped hulls and non stepped operate on completely different water flow principles, no matter how well you set the boat up, both when turning, & going straight.

A HP Boat courses will teach you all this & much, much more.
Once you understand the differences & your boats limitations , your well on your way to becoming a safer operator. Stepped & non stepped - two different beasts !

If you want to watch stepped hulls spin out - in professionally set up race boats - go have a look at some Freeze Frame boat videos.
