I recently made the move from the northern Virginia area to eastern North Carolina. While in Virginia a lot of my boating activities were in the Potomac River and involved meeting up with friends at beaches, at on-water sea food restaurants, etc. Looking for such activities in the North Carolina areas (Pamlico Sounds, etc). Any suggestions where eastern NC boaters congregate on the weekends?

If you are near Belhaven, the city marina is pretty nice and has a nice resturant. I am near the VA/NC border. The only places I know are in the Albermarle Sound. We have lots of places up here in VA though. You are probably closer to Washinton NC and may want to get some ideas and suggestions from the Fountain crew. Coinjock is also a good food stop on the water, as is Elizabeth City.

You can run up to Washington and dock and there are some restaurants right on main street. You can run further up the river towards Greenville and there is a area past the Washington bridge where people hang out also.
