Chesapeake Bay Family and Friends NON EVENT 2017
All,
For those of you that have not noticed, myself and Jonathon Godfrey (fatherb68) organize the "Fall Hudson family and friends" day in NY on the Hudson River. We post this event in the "Northeast Section". This last event we had in excess of 60 boats registered for the day...weather was not so great but we still had 40 boats attend. Well a bunch of the NY boys have been asking me to organize a day in my area (Chesapeake Bay) in the Spring. I am starting this now. My thought is to have all boats launch from Sandy Point State Park and run to the Chesapeake Inn (Chesapeake city, MD. - northern bay). The run will be roughly 100-115 miles total. I am sending this out now to see the interest for attending this day. We will have plenty of space for launching boats, plenty of space for docking. As always this is a FUN DAY...casual day with friends and family. Let me know if you would be interested.

This sounds like a great idea. I may be able to get a group from the Eastern Shore to link up and launch out of either the Narrows or Wye River to rendezvous with the other group on the North side of Kent Island. I will put feelers out to see if anyone I know on this side of the bridge wants to participate.
