Its a little dark, but here is a simple map of part of the lake. Spring branch is one large cove east(towards Indian Point) of cow creek off the main channel.

gsmith9898 07-17-2007 06:19 PM

I'll find it. I'll have my eliminator daytona with lighting strikes down the sides.

gsmith9898 07-20-2007 10:36 AM

headed out in the morning.

tblrklakemo 07-20-2007 06:41 PM

We'll be out tomorrow around noon or so.

Aqua Banshee 07-20-2007 07:34 PM

Same here in the Black Ghetto Sonic with outboards. In cow creek or in the cove across from the cliffs towards long creek

dodgeman111 07-23-2007 06:56 PM

Hey Tblrklakemo. Are you guys going to be around on Labor Day weekend? We'll be down there then. Maybe before that but Labor day for sure. We're Chad & Rose in the 23 Outlaw. We rafted in Spring Branch I believe.

JasonSmith 07-23-2007 06:58 PM

We all need to find one another this Labor Day.

dodgeman111 07-23-2007 07:04 PM

sounds good to us. I'm hoping to get down there before that also. Too darn nice down there not to. I'll post if we make it.

Just got back from table rock and loto and had a GREAT time at both places. Table rock has the most amazing water and party cove at loto has unforgettable views. Not good with names but it was great meeting all that I talked to at both lakes.

Aqua Banshee 07-31-2007 08:47 PM

Good to meet ya (Sonic Outboards) So how was the poker run? I have not heard anything. Did I miss something I should not have. Saving it for the Shootout.

Poker run was a blast. Around 100 boats. We took third so that paid for the gas. They showed some footage from the copter at the after party and I can't wait to see the full dvd. The guys from powerboatparty.com were supper cool. The founder Darrell didn't run around calling himself mr president with his nose in the air but was down to earth with everyone and partied like a rock star when it was all over. Great group of people at the run.

We have a new, 1000 acre, commercial and residential development taking place in Branson West. It is called Indian Ridge Resort. If anybody might be interested in investing in some commercial developments on site, or purchasing a residential lot....shoot me a PM. Amenities will include a Championship Golf Course, Hotel, Shopping, Indoor Water Park, and marina on Table Rock Lake. The infrastructure is in place and we are ready to build.

gsmith9898 08-07-2007 02:40 PM

send me any info you have [email protected]

If I wasn't so damn "toy-poor" I would be interested. If nothing else it is a great investment opportunity. Seems that nearly every big well planned development in this area has turned into a gold mine.

We are hoping the same will happen with this one too.

Aqua Banshee 08-08-2007 10:39 AM

How big is the marina going to be?

tblrklakemo 08-08-2007 10:57 AM

52 slips on the water, and 300 boats kept high and dry. They are still in the planning process, so I dont know if we will get anything bigger than 10x30. 14x30 is the biggest private slip available on the lake, and I dont know if the developer is trying for comm'l marina status. My question to the corps was: who the hell has a 14' wide boat thats only 30' long? They are clueless. I asked if I could trade 4 feet in the width, for 4 more feet on length and they said no(for my personal slip.)

Von Bongo 08-08-2007 11:25 AM

Where is a good place (ramp and parking) to put in a 38-42 foot boat and park?

Also good place to stay that would have a slip for such a boat?

i would stay away from kimberling city...the parking sucks and the ramp is VERY steep. Indian point and state park are good places to put in. You will need to call state park, gages, indian point to see what size slips they have available.

Finding a place to stay with a slip that size is going to be the problem. You better plan on backing in and sticking out. It is Very spendy, but the Chateau on the Lake is probably your best bet for finding slip accomidations with a place to stay and they have their own ramp. The State Park down past the dam might be able to accomidate you with a slip but there is virtually no lodging close.

I can do some leg work for you if you want to PM me to give me better idea of exactly what you are looking for.

JasonSmith 08-08-2007 01:37 PM

There are 2 ramps @ Kimberling. The ramp is big enough we put in a 70' Sumerset in May. I'm talking about the one @ Whats up dock. I put my boat in there also.
I do know the ramp that you are talking about & it is stupid steep, but keep in mind the other.
If a slip is needed I can probably swing it @ Port of Kimberling where the HBs are at.

Aqua Banshee 08-08-2007 01:42 PM

You can apply for a 6' roof overhang, but 30' is the max slip. My almost father in law has a couple of the 14x30 slips and got them just cause they were the same price. I think he has applied for the overhang on one. But yeah 30' boat that needs a 14' wide slip?

Its a great location for a new development on the lake. I am just a little to hillbilly to live in a restricted neborhood

I know Gages at long creek has some open house boat slips if you want the boat covered, pretty good ramp to

Aqua Banshee 08-08-2007 01:46 PM

Is anyone going to the Phlock at the Rock at Rock Lane Resort on Aug 17th- 18th

Not according to Becky, the corps ranger. She told me that no part of the slip or roof can extend past 30 feet. Can you permanently keep your boat parked on the side of your boat dock?

JasonSmith 08-08-2007 02:11 PM

My buddy Charles just had the last private dock put in on TR. It is 50x60 with one 16 x 38 or 40 stall, one 12 x 30 & one 12 x 26.

How the hell does that work? Why does the corps keep telling me that I cannot add on to my dock so I can fit something in it over 30 feet long?

JasonSmith 08-08-2007 03:29 PM

We have our ways! Call Dry Dockers. They built it.

Sh*t, every time I call table rock boat dock works they tell me to call the corps....I know what the corps will tell me. I cannot have a boat dock with slips bigger than 30 foot long. Is this a new regulation? Our dock is about 9 yrs old....WTF is going on here and why cant I build a 38' deep stall if your buddy just had his put in?

cstobe 08-08-2007 05:11 PM

I think that the 12x 30 rule is something new in the last few months. The couple who owned the blue thunder just put a 12 slip dock in around the corner from combs ferry, 12x30 was as big as they could go. Just about every boat they plan to put in it will be over 30 foot. But I have heard that with the Corps it's all about who ya know......

Because he knew the change was comming & submitted plans for approval in 2006. The dock was floated & put in place in March.

So our developer was just a dumb sh*t, and decided 8 or 9 yrs ago, that residents wouldnt buy a boat bigger than 30 foot...28 foot in my case. Man, we need to amend this policy. Only 11% of the shore is zoned for docks, and that wont change. I see why the corps is doing this and it isnt right.

I agree! But at the same time I don't want it to happen because it will bring more big boats there & where does it stop? LOTO is a disaster with docks, but it is not comparable because it is not a Corps lake.
I wish the rules were a little less stringtent. The Corps told Charles that he couldn't have furinture, a diving board, a swing, ect, ect, ect on the dock, because "Docks are for parking & storing boats, not recreating or congregating" :angry-smiley-055: Morons.

Well, it will never be like LOTO b/c only 11% of the shore is zoned for docks.....by design. The corps gets to charge rental fees for large slips via the marinas like state park and kimberling city that rent out monster slips to cruisers and house boats. It is a major source of income for the COE, and the very reason they now require private dock/slip owners to register boats stored within...so the large % of boat slip owners that dont keep boats in them wont sublease out to others. But that begs the question: why not allow private dock owners to build slip sizes as they please and adjust private dock permit fees as such? If the COE will rent out major slips to huge boats they need to allow those of us that pay permit fees on out private docks to keep up....the alternative is to drive us off the water b/c of big boats vs. little boats. It is a win win for COE either way they screw us. Call the corps of engineers, table rock lake @ 417-334-4101 and ask for Becky...the ranger in charge. Complain to her how their "fix" for lake traffic screws the private owners that pay also.
