Sounds to me like more organization is needed. My buddy was out Sunday in his 42' Fountain after the races idling around looking for the runners but didn't see any.

There's always Fall Harbor Hop in two weeks. Hmmmm....

This forum might need a 2009 Shootout thread to get things rollin' for next year, eh?

Now the important part........No one showed up to run after the races on Sat.....White Lightening was idling around waiting and he waited until 5:40 when we went by......In fact I was running 75 and he came buy me like I was standing still......We were running 75 and he left us.......My best guess was 105.

Now as far as first to the bridge that was ME.........Of course Travis let off to see if anyone would show up or was sitting waiting. Which there was not anyone around........We went to backwaters and ran into Travis later and the tattle tale said 113 mph.....Now after seeing him go by first hand I believe it.

As far as Sunday I was not there.
maybe tbone didnt see this post

Ok, I'll bite...

If the limit is 90 and he was at 95 when you said let him go, you ment with a ticket and the usual "don't bring it back til it's legal" line right

A mild hijack here.... Carter, your Bullet for sale looks awesome. Those blowers must really wake that boat up. Good for about 80 or so?
Thank you. It runs high 70's here is a thread on it so we don't hijack this one.

No from what I was watching he kept moving the meter around and there were a lot of boats running in the area and Travis kept pointing to those boats still running. He was also point out to the course with boats on course. Also a few with the stereo's blasting

My best guess is the WP thought better of writing the ticket knowig he probably could not back up the test if Travis plead not guilty. I do not think he even got a written warning, because I did not see him fill anything out.

I think he was hoping for a way over test and when it wasn't I think he thought just wait until later when he has another chance.

Never said I was going to be there on Saturday, just simply agreed that I wanted to see WL run. Only reason we came out Sunday was because we saw him on our way home...

You weren't in the Sea Ray that I launched about 6 foot in the air off of just before the bridge, were ya???????? Bobbie was pissssssed...well only for a second.

I ran from the end of the course to the toll bridge with WL on Sunday. I was running 55-65mph the entire way with him and a red 35ZR. I even gave him a hello waive when we were running next to each other. He got into it a couple times and pulled hard and fast, but in WL's defense, there was just way too much boat traffic until we hit the bridge. I had to slow down for a lot of smaller and slow moving boats that were unpredictable as to what they were going to do. We had also just passed several WP boats as well. WL did look to be running very nicely and when traffic finally cleared a little, WL was gone. He was probably only doing about 75-80 when he hit the bridge, but picked it up a lot after that. I'd guess around triple digits.

Griff, we were sitting @ Dog Days when you ran through the grand Glaize and did that nice "Pocket Air" off the cruiser wake under the glaize bridge. I guess you were heading for the ramp because I didn't see you again.

We saw Bad Habit running down stream (out in front of Four Seasons) when we were heading back upstream. She was running nice as well...

What a fun weekend. Definately the best of the season.

Griff, Nice to finally meet you as well.

Yes Griff that was us... we were just enjoying the show. Bobbie didn't look very happy in the back seat. You guys were running with about four or five WP right behind you, my guess would be that they were trying to get back to other areas of the lake since they were pretty much all centered around the OSS races for the weekend... Boat looked really good going by...
Will you guys be down for the Harbor Hop?
Regards
