So this may be a stupid question then, but where do you stash the trailer if not at the ledges? Do most leave it in the parking lot of the marina? We like the park distric one not far the Inn at Grand Glaze.

i leave mine at pb2. i think its only like $3 maybe $5 day if i remember right.

we really like Compass Point condos, they're strait across the the mouth of the grand glaze arm from Dog Days.
you dump the boat in at PB2 for 5 bucks and ask for a tag for the trailer and leave it there.

This is what makes this and forums like this so great. We have been there before but were not sure of some of this stuff, but then ask here and things are far more clear. Thank you all for you help.

I've always heard great things about LOTO and have thought about coming down for a week. I ran into a bunch of folks from there in Key West during the boat races this year. They all told me that my 28' Powerquest was too small for the lake and to be prepared to get pounded. Not a great thought to me, so I've re-thought my plans on coming down. Now, I'm reading the post of a guy with a 27'. What's the deal........is it ok for a boat under 30 or not?

You wont be able to run wide open on the 17mm Saturday at 2:00 am during the summer, but you will get around fine if you take it easy. Depends on what you want to do on the weekend.

We have a 272 and were fine and like eddie said you may not run wide open in some spots but we did just to see and we are still here and boat is fine. I wouldnt like to be in much smaller than ours but your 28 will be fine just be smart. And so you know this isn't our first trip and wont be the last as well as we ran into another couple who the same boat dif year that we have there. You will be fine trust me just be smart... When 4 or 5 big fast boats go by or pass you be prepared and pay attention.

I ran a 270 PQ down there for a couple seasons, boat was on a lift on the lake. There are plenty of boats your size that boat exclusively at LOTO. Like everyone else is saying, just use common sense when it gets rough.

A 28 PQ will be fine at LOTO. It will be a rough ride from abount 4 pm on Friday until about 4 pm on Sunday, but it will still be fine. I ran a 24 Outlaw and then my 28 Pantera before my 32 AT. Heck, it can be a rough ride in a 38 TG on a Saturday afternoon. Plan short trips on the weekends and long trips during the week. On the weekdays, you could run an 18 footer with no problem.
