White Trash Bash, Paradice Beach, IL River at Peoria.

Official date for the annual White Trash Bash on Paradice Beach is Aug 4th 2012. If the river is down, follow one of the regulars out of the main channel. There is a pretty good channel cut in over to it, if you know where it is. Everyone have fun and be safe.

dykstra 06-17-2012 08:19 PM

Great to hear, thanks for the info.:evilb:

See you guys there.

Been to Peoria by boat few times, but where & what is this Paradice Beach?

WwW

gare 06-19-2012 06:49 AM

Paradice Beach is along the south side of a channel that was originally cut in for United Facilities and I believe Hagerty Steel. When the Paradice casino boat moved to East Peoria the channel was resored and extended to the Paradice dock. If your heading north from downtown Peoria it will be to the southeast right after the point where Farm Creek runs into the river.
The channel remains in pretty good condition however it is not marked. Once you learn the way over it's pretty easy. I draw 41" and can usually see at least 5' of water under the boat all the way over. Shallowest spot is actually near the edge of the main channel. When getting to the beach it will get shallow real quick. The drop off is pretty steep in most places. I've never seen much glass over there but the clam shells can be damn sharp.......wear shoes!!

Well said Gare!
If you are coming south on the river(assuming), once you get into Peoria, look for the Par-a-dice River Boat Casino on your left(East) side of the river. Paradice beach is on the opposite side of the River Boat. You can't miss all of the boats on the beach! Hope you can make it!:evilb:

Word is to expect plenty of law enforcement presence. I'm sure they'll be looking for BUIs but it's the history of fights that has gotten the attention stirred up. Every fight I can recall over there has involved at least one non-boater who was brought out for the occasion. We should remind our friends and ourselves to leave the testosterone at home.
Now for the chick fights......well that's just pure entertainment. Just kidding.

Leave it to the non-boating bank trash to ruin a good time.

This Saturday

Just noticed on the Facebook page for Paradice Beach that the word is out for a party up at the beach at Chillicothe. We used to hang out up there some a few years back. Probably would be fun but Quadruple bypass surgery this Thursday is gonna hamper my fun for a few weeks.

bdubs 07-02-2012 08:33 PM

I saw that on fb.

We use to go to Chilicothe beach all the time when I was a kid. I haven't been there in years. I might have to run up there Saturday.

Gare, good luck with that surgery.

Revd Up 07-02-2012 09:21 PM

What date is the Chilicothe party?

Gare hope all goes well and your back on the water soon.

dykstra 07-02-2012 09:37 PM

Hope all goes well with your surgery Gare.

does the casino have a hotel ?

Yes. There is also another hotel just up the road from the casino. http://www.stoneycreekinn.com/hotel/...FSZeTAod8kHLKQ

gare 07-18-2012 11:02 AM

If you stay at Stoney Creek you can probably get a slip at East Port. East Port Marina and Stoney Creek are in no way affiliated. There are no slips at the casino facility but both motels on that property are real nice. With the river way down, it looks like the best ramps will be Detweiller.

Damn look-alike fountains.... :lolhit:

I'm still laughing about that guy floating real slow past the riverfront giving me the stink-eye...3 times

gare 07-18-2012 09:24 PM

If I see any of you guys, I'll give a wave. I'm recovering from quadruple bypass so if I'm out at all it'll probably be as a ride a long on another big cruiser. I'm just hopin for good weather and fun times for all!!!!

Where is Detweiller? I have put in several different locations down there, but don't know where this is?
Thanks,
Steve

Detwiller is on the Peoria/West side of the river not too far North of the Rt. 74 bridge. For me coming from the East on 74, I cross the bridge and take the first exit (Adams St.) and then turn right/North as if I was going to Chillicothe. Detwiller is about a mile or so up the road off to the right. It is marked by a little brown sign so you have to really be paying attention. You cross over the railroad tracks and you will see the ramp.
