Believe it or not the fuel economy of 1075's are incredible. Efi tecnology is the way to go. It seemed in a couple of boats I've owned with 900hp blower motors with old technology that they would drink twice the fuel of my merc 1075's.
I wonder if on idiling and docking if he shuts down the two middle engines. Would the boat get on plane with just two engines??? Come on Frankie give us the details. Meaning if one engine broke would you shut off the other engine on the other side and be able to run just 2 of the 4. I would think 3 of the 4 wold really screw up handeling and would be better just to do 2 out of 4 in a pinch???? |
