Any Used Nor-Tech 340 CC's For Sale

Seriously interested in a 340, Twins or Triples, So far about every classified I've come across has been utilizing the same photos, mftr photos & brochure descriptions which tells me they don't actually have a 340 but will gladly order me one. I'm interested in a gently used 340. Occasionally a boat owner makes it known his boat is for sale via word of mouth but doesn't advertise so as to avoid all the BS & tire kickers. I'm hoping this post might help direct me to one of those 340 owners.

Thanks In Advance

Contact Randy Kent, Marine Concepts, LOTO.

NASCAT 08-28-2014 07:50 AM

I appreciate the lead, I will reach out to him this AM.

I plan to contact Terry Sobo to see what he knows.

Keep the leads coming, good people tend to know other good people!

Mentalpause 08-28-2014 09:30 AM

Terry surely will know if his dealers have one, and possibly a slightly used one. Randy has several slots in the build schedule, so if you choose to work with him he may have a new one coming in within weeks instead of months. Not sure if he has one currently or not, but they usually don't last long. Randy's number is 913-908-7223. Now I can decide if I have one for sale. :ernaehrung004:

NASCAT 08-28-2014 09:41 AM

MP- thanks for the insight. In all honesty a NEW 340 isn't in the cards for me. I would have loved to have owned the silver one that Sportboats Marine shows as SOLD in the OSO classifieds.

If your decision to sell is YES then you already have an interested party w/o spending a $$ on a classified ad so you are way ahead of the game.

Mentalpause 08-28-2014 09:46 AM

Every now and then Randy gets contacted by someone who may want to trade, and you never know, he may come across a 340 trade from someone moving to a 39. Wouldn't hurt to leave your name with him.

That's called slightly used. Headed for LOTO in a few minutes.

Spicy 08-28-2014 10:10 AM

NASCAT, You may of just missed out on one?? That's how it always happens to me at least!! :)
My buddy just bought a 34' NT 2 weeks ago from Randy, they pulled the shrink wrap off of it this past weekend and it's new home is in Annapolis on the Chesapeake Bay!!!

Thanks Pat

NASCAT 08-28-2014 10:20 AM

Life is about timing & sometimes it's Piss Poor Timing.:(

My ignorance about the Nor-Tech line assumed that only the 390 had the helm cabin & the 390 is somewhat of a stretch for me financially not to mention a handful to be dragging around & launching all the time since I keep my boats on a trailer in my storage unit.

I just spoke to Terry Sobo so I'm getting the lines in the water, I'm confident I'll get a bite sooner or later. Bottomline is I'm not on any schedule & can wait for the right deal or someone contemplating moving out of one come seasons end.

I plan to follow up on everyone's leads & appreciate the many responses I've received already this AM.

Nascat,

We also have a very nice new statement 34 CC. Check out our website performanceboatcenter.com

Knot 4 Me 08-28-2014 10:41 AM

Yes, the 34 has a very nice cabin and twins are plenty of power whereas you will need trips on the 39. Good luck with your search! They are awesome boats..

NASCAT 08-28-2014 10:51 AM

MM,

You guys have some real nice stuff & have been impressed w/ your facility. Wish we had that type of interest & support for the performance boat market here, but we don't.
I like the Statement boat, know Nick & Todd well (bought Nick's Spectre 32 b4 my Skater) BUT I really want a cabin & like the way the Nortech & Sunsation utilize the helm / lounger space.

Michael

The sad part is I've known Mike Alford (Von Bongo) since like 2005, he's extended me an open invitation for years & I've yet to make it there.
That's 100% on me.
Definitely will take you up on that offer some day!

My friend Ryan has his orange 34 listed at Double R Performance. I was on it 2 weeks ago and its flawless.

Unfortunately I'm more of a mainstream guy, No Orange or medium Blue w/ brown interior for me.

bill63 08-29-2014 10:42 AM

Go for the 39 cc I love mine. Seems like every 34 cc person I talk to say they wish they would have bought a 39. Call Mike at American Custom Marine here in Mich he may have some leads for you.

I appreciate the input Bill & hope I don't end up being that guy. From a manageablity standpoint the 34 just makes more sense for me. I keep my boat on its trailer indoors & launch each use, often boat alone or just w/ the GF, hope to venture out to the NC / SC coastal cities & hit the ICW etc so from a storage, launching, ease of towing, care, maintenance & cost standpoint it's going to be a 34' for me.

Check back a year from now & we'll see if I'm kicking myself for not following Bill63's advice. LOL.

People told me that too. I guess I'm the exception to that rule. 34 ride is similar. The shorter hull has slightly less flex since it is 5 feet shorter. Similar responsiveness with 1 less engine. But the main reason is easier around the restaurant docks at LOTO. But I did put a bow thruster on mine so it is a piece of cake at the docks.

Like Nascat most of my boating is 2 or 4 people. And usually the furthest anyone sits forward under way is the lounger.

My wife calls the bow thruster my girlfriend. Guess it's that noise. Lol. But on a serious note the Nortech CC 34 or 39 is a great boat I would buy either one. My next one is already on the drawing board. I deleted the mid cabin on mine there is no way I would ever sleep on it , thats what Holiday Inn is for besides we now have a big dance floor!!

Key West last year.. We tend to have a few on board !,

Jupiter Sunsation 09-01-2014 09:07 AM

At the used prices that these NT CC's are asking, not sure it is worth buying one used! The first batch of owners made out like bandits on what they paid new 3+ years ago and what the boats are asking now.

I find some of the 344 GT features pretty cool but I don't think they made many of those.

For as many 34's & 39's that have been built collectively the past few yrs (heard approx 100) really not many for sale at all.

Got out on a Sunsation 34 CCX this wknd, hoping to get out on a Statement as well.

Plan to visit Nor-Tech this month.

.

And when they are for sale they are huge money for a used boat!

NASCAT 09-02-2014 02:20 PM

Booked a flight to Fort Myers for the weekend of the 12th / 13th. Plan to sea trial a 340 & a tour the Nor-Tech facility. May need a few after hrs recommendations as I've not been to this part of FL before. Staying at the Indigo Downtown at Mr. Sobo's recommendation.

Definitely hit the beach up if you have time! We have a condo across from Hooters there. Plenty of great watering holes. Good luck at the factory.

NASCAT 09-03-2014 09:14 PM

Thanks SlowRide. Hope the weather cooperates.

wananewboat 09-04-2014 01:05 PM

I saw a few on boat trader.

NASCAT 09-04-2014 01:29 PM

I've seen those but almost every 340 listed uses a stock photo or photo of a boat that's no longer available, asks you to call for price & or let us order one for you today.
Basically fishing for leads.

I have seen pictures of my boat in those ads to and mine has never been for sale.
