Oh maybe that`s why they are working on it this whole weekend.. hmm.
I`m paraphrasing here : it was cleared then it got "buzzed down" again then 'shadowed' and then cleared again. (shadowing the lines gives them more of a 3D look I believe, not every stripe gets it ) It baked all day yesterday. There is a lot of steps that go into a paint job holy smokes.! |

Not sure what they are using there, but many "automotive" paints wants you to clear in 24 hours so the clear bonds better. But, if you wait over the 24 hrs, most of them just need a scuff to for a tooth for the clear to bond to as after 24 hrs the paint has cured and formed a smooth surface.
On my small stuff I use a inner coat clear but for something this size I just always wondered what they did. anyway it looks bad ass. ICEDEDPPL you are going to have a killer setup. new paint new motors new interior. Should be a good summer |
