Oh maybe that`s why they are working on it this whole weekend.. hmm.
I`m paraphrasing here : it was cleared then it got "buzzed down" again then 'shadowed' and then cleared again.
(shadowing the lines gives them more of a 3D look I believe, not every stripe gets it )
It baked all day yesterday.

There is a lot of steps that go into a paint job holy smokes.!

yes shadowing will give a 3D look. Cool they are burying the tape edges ( the. Clear and sand thing).

Correct but you cannot scuff pearls or flakes or candies. Not that I think this one has that but some of these paint jobs do.

On my small stuff I use a inner coat clear but for something this size I just always wondered what they did.

anyway it looks bad ass. ICEDEDPPL you are going to have a killer setup.

new paint
new motors
new interior. Should be a good summer
