This section is dead, feel like I`m posting for myself ha.

The website as a whole has been pretty dead. At least you get some reply's on your posts. The Black Thunder group chat almost never has any response to posts.
Looking forward to seeing your engines in and everything completed.

I think a lot of us are following along... just not posting to clutter up an awesome thread!

Just been watching you're great progress and did not want to mess up things up or rain on your project. Looks like you have the same issues as me, waiting. Promised one month and it takes 4 time that long on everything. Been working on much the same type of project as your's except a Magic 34 Scepter. Waiting to see and hear about your engines as well. Got mine finally done and at the Dyno shop now. One running and one to go next week. We are working up to the 7200 redline. So far a number of issues, blew the oil filter off after 5 seconds, electric sensor failures, bad tune to begin with all the normal stuff on start-up.
Happy with the numbers so far: 1319hp@6500, 1146tq@4600. We will hit the goal at 1400hp@7200, 1180tq@4800. It has over 1000tq@3200rpm so getting on plan will be no issue. These won't be in the boat until November though. Hope to see your running soon. :boat:

Only the second time I know of it happening in 40 years. But of course it happened to my engine. I got these engines one in just parts and the other together. Well as you know there is water around boat parts. All was cleaned at reassembly but the pressure relieve piston in the pump was not taken out. Who would think it would be rusted in? Just around the tip but enough to not let it open. At 5 second after start and 140psi, Oil everywhere, floor ceiling walls about a gallon or so out of the 17 quart pan. Not happy but glad it happened at the Dyno shop not in the boat bilge which would have been a whole lot worse. Off the dyno and pulled the pan to do a 15 minute fix that took 5 hours. First one was on a 426 Hemi but a lot easier to fix with a external oil pump.

Think Dan is doing 2200 HP or so is his 36 so not to far off. don't Know the rpm but should be at least 6000 rpm.
I'm old school and just can not go outboard so have to go Big power to run with them egg beaters. :evilb:

Hey bring it on. Your threads are one of the few on here that are interesting.

Looking forward to Spring and your new batch of problems. 🤪😂

Where does everyone do their build threads now if not here?

BTW, I am enjoying watching the progress in this one!
