Hey guys...
I have a 2000 28' Nordic heat w/ a 502 mag. i just got a M1 SC pro charger for it and am looking for some advice.
i installed a procharger in my previous boat but that was a carb'd 454. i don't have much experience w/ the EFI setup.
according to procharger, all i need to do is install the new aeromotive fuel pump, their boost referenced regulator and that there's no need to make any changes to the computer.
does anyone have experience installing a procharger on the 502 mag?
how about external steering? should i do single or dual? i know the dual ram is a complete replacement up to the helm. is the single an add on w/ the existing cable setup?
how about the drive? i have a 1:50 bravo 1. on my previous boat, the bravo held up just fine to the procharged 454 but i'm wondering if i need to upgrade to an XR after procharging the 502
thanks in advance!

All I know is that ProCharger said I did not need to have my computer flashed in my Baja with the 6.2 liter when I Procharged it. I had way too much gas going into the motor, lots of black soot on the back of the boat. I took it to Oregon Custom Marine and when I got it back with the reprogramed computer I gained 3mph and the motor ran great with very little soot on the transom. So if it works great without the computer reflash in your application great. But if not don't fight the problem for a year like I did, just get the flash done so you can enjoy your boat.

If they say you dont have to than dont. I would definitely go with the dual ram to helm hydro steering. It is night and day difference between any add-on system or cable system. You will love it and never get another boat w/o it. Bravo 1? Be easy on it and you should get some good time out of it. No drag races and no air time with throttle mashed. If your that worried send it to MrGadgets on OSO and have it built with all his goodies and tight tolerances.

"Plane silly", you're right... i talked to jim at Arizona speed and marine and he suggested the same thing. don't even use the procharger regulator, just have them reprogram the computer. then, they have a different fuel cooler and 2 bar map sensor to use.
