Now that tax season is over, I am finally embarking on my project. I just asked John at Unlimited Marine to order the Dana exhaust for me along with the PCM reprogram. I am going to stick with the current prop until I see what RPMs it pulls. I am hoping for 4 mph. Wish me luck!

CumberlandHeat, do some research! I paid $4,600 for CMI Sporttube headers for my HO and saw ZERO increase in performance. The same has happened to others. Just a heads up. Save your money for something that will buy you real HP. JMO (btw my hull is very responsive to power ups)

I got the boat back from Unlimited Marine in Russell Springs, KY a few weeks ago. John and Eddie did a perfect job. I went with the Dana set, powdercoated blue with polished risers. The only hiccup was a delay in receiving the risers from Dana. FINALLY the weather cooperated last week for a real test. I managed to get 3-4 mph out of just the headers/fuel regulator alone running a 26 pitch prop with 5050 rpm at WOT. I was tickled pink. The boat now will run low 70's easily when it used to take perfect conditions to hit 70-71. I am not going to go with the PCM- I'm happy for now. Maybe a Raylar kit down the road but would need steerin first. I highly recommend the Dana kit!

Cumberland,
You have a beautiful Heat. I think it's the prettiest Heat I've ever seen. I drove it at the Nordic Regatta before you bought it. I like the new smoked door and hatch, and power bolsters.
Nice upgrade on the motor.
Are you running the Thunder Run? I'm thinking about it.............
Regards,
Steve

Thanks, Steve! I appreciate the compliment. Ironically, the Thunder Run starts this year from Grider Hill, which is where I dock my houseboat. Unfortunately, I will be out of town on business that weekend. How does your boat run with that 575? I'd bet its wicked fast!
