Default heat engine hatch

hi new member here i have a 2008 heat the engine hatch stoppped working today is there a manual override so i can open and close the hatch ???? thanks

Hi Jimmy,
Unless something has changed from the '01 that I have, no. Make sure it's not just a dead battery, blown fuse or circuit breaker, or loose wire.
You may have to remove the rear bench to get to the ram.

thanks steve i know its not a dead battery as all the other electrical items work and i can start the engine. ill investigate the other items you mentioned thanks !!

I sometimes (almost always) have to play with the dash switch in order for mine to work. I have to keeps pressing it over and over and then it works. I never investigated the problem because it evenually works. Most likely its bad contact on the switch.

The toggle switched leave a bit to be desired IMO, I am sure there is a bad ass replacement somewhere out there. Good luck with the hatch! You could test the switch on the back for output when depressed, glad there is a little panel there.

ya mine used to be like that have to press it back and forth to get it to work now nada!!!!!!!!! pretty lame if you ask me

thanks for all the info guys ! got it fixed was a bad switch ! boats going up for sale moving up to a cig!

thanks love the boat it is crazy fast have hit 100 in her but i want/ need something bigger for the water here (vancouver bc) common sense tells me i cant have two boats lol

Jimmyg I noticed in your sig. that you have changed the pistons in your 600sci did you have a problem with the motor or did you just want more compression?
