external steering on a rage
i'm looking into installing dual ram steering this winter and was wondering what you guys have used, i know they are all pretty similar my prob is that i can NOT lose any of the tilt on my drive due to getting into my garage. i think it was 90mph rage that had the imco setup and it cleared the swim deck by an 1/8 inch, the wing plate style i'm pretty sure will hit but want to hear from the guys that have first hand experience, i really like the imco setup with the endcap, thanks in advance

I don't know if the Rage swim platform is lower or closer to the transom than the Heat. It may be. I have IMCO hydraulic on mine and the cast IMCO mounting plate on a "straight back" XR housing.
It clears the swim platform all the way up. The braided line from the drive shower did abrade the fiberglass at the lower aft edge of the swim platform a little when I was using that system. If you run into that, you can cover the line with a clear plastic hose.
The "swept back" upper housing and some of those ram plates do position the drive end of the rams further back and can hit the swim platform even on a Heat. One of our Rage owners or BobL and Mike should know how to get this done.
You will like the full hydraulic. I've had stock cable power, cable with brazil valve exterior rams, and full power hydraulic. There is no comparison for control and handling.
Regards,
Steve
