Default Stuck Innovative Stern Light

any ideas? Extends fully although it clicks for a good 30 seconds like it wants go up further and then stays about a foot and a half extended after it finishes retracting. It also clicks on the downward motion like it's trying to retract but doesn't. Light pressure doesn't help.

I've noticed that the new ones from innovative are manual. I kind of like the automatic one.

extend it up then spray some wd-40 on it, whipe off the excess and put it down, should be smooth again, mine did that once and someone on here told me to try that and its been perfect ever since

Default What's the best replacement?

Is it the same light from innovation but the manual model?

Did anyone replace their auto 1 with the manual 1? Mine is also acting up, and I'm thinking about keeping it simple....
Thanks,
Dean

Mine is the origional automatic pos and it is curently manual (after it stopped working in the up position and I decided to shove it down to fit under my boat cover). It still works great although the motor clicks a little when I turn it on and off. Best part is it's free! LOL

I'm not saying that is what you should do but I am happy with the result I got.

I change mine once every 2 years. They arent the most robust design... especially in salt.
