just got a call from steve's marina , they spashed my boat today. engine fired right up idled at 800 rpms oil 65 psi he took up the lake made 2 pass
speedo said 74 @ 5300 but the 24 p prop worked out great thanks for the info. have to break out the hand held gps see what its really running last year it gps at 60 speedo said 63 but im very happy ...if the weather holds up ill be out sunday.

Bill, I know someone who has a labbed 26 bravo if you want to try it.

that was the next thing I was going to try ,its bumping the rev limiter. need to come down 100 rpm

I cant get to the prop for a week or two, but I can ship it down for you to try if you want.

im in no big hurry.. if you can get time stop down when weather straightens up . they have some nice condos right by the slips. bring the libby. water warms up fast. my slip is about 10 min from where you picked up the liberator at steve's marina. i can send you more info if you like.

gps at 71.8 @ 5300 at 75 degr 6" -12 " chop 40 gallons of gas 2 guys. speedo is off by 3 mph high read 75 ,but the mid range is very strong ,if the weather holds up will take some video put on my webpage. still very happy do any of you guys have a 28 heat with a 500 efi was wondering how much faster your running with the notched hulls

According to Hot boat, they tested at 2003 Heat, stepped hull, with a 500EFI and they posted a speed of 77.9 mph. They also tested a 2000 Heat which I believe this a stepped hull with a 502mpi at 62.3. I ran my boat(99 heat non step) last weekend in Lake Michigan, water temp is still about 45-50, air temp in the 70's. I ran 62 flat on the GPS with 4 people in the boat and 60 gallons of fuel.
