2 12" Kicker square subs under rear set facing forward.
No separate boxes, just right in the front panel of the seat.
I've got two, you could put up to 4 there.
My speaker box computer design program told me that would be perfect with just a single 4" port. Although with no one or nothing sitting on and weighing down the seat it rattles a little on heavy bass.
The square woofers have an edge over any other woofer of similar size (12 is about the biggest you can put in the front panel of the rear seat) because they have more surface area therefore lower resonant frequency.
Anyone who's heard my system, including down in the cabin listening to movies on surround sound, agrees that the system is awesome. I've had several people say they wish their home DVD surround system sounded as good. The way the sound telescopes through the hull is incredible.
Although I should mention if you like that boom boom crap so popular with rap and hip hop, my system isn't tuned to emphasize that. Mine is the kind that you kind of just sit there and feel some throbbing and wondering what it is. More like
earthquakes.

Jerry,
Do you have any speakers in the seat base or just the subs?
Did you seal off the pedestal inside or just use the removable floors?
What do you have for speakers and where are they?
Also are the subs free air type and or do you recall the model number?
Sorry for all the questions.
Thanks,
Dave

Kicker is the manufacturer of the subs. They are 12" and square.
The rest of my speakers are Boston Acoustic 6" with separate tweeters. Two in the stock location high on the gunwhale near the rear seat. Two on lower portion of dash on left and right. Two more for center channel on the center of the dash pointing inward at each other by cabin door.
Hell I don't know if the subs are free air or not. They've got a baffle regardless.
By the way I am an electronic engineer with a long and illustrious history in professional audio.
Other than that, nothing fancy.
