Default 35' Drain plug in front step

I was over looking at a buddy of mines 2001 flame today. He is getting the bottom redone. He had a drian plug in the front step. Mine does not, 2000. Did they start that in 2001? Makes sense to be able to get the water out.

Russ,

The boat is at Progressive ( Joe's ) shop. They are filling in all the nicks and scratches. It is hanging in the air and they are filing in the holes with gel coat. They are going to start sanding to get it smooth. Joe tells me they then take wool buffing pads on a grinder, load the wool pad up with bar wax until its full. They buff up, down , right, left in a small spot to bring it to a as new luster. He says the gel gets so hot, it would feel like a burn on the skin if you touched it. I saw Mike's boat when they finished, it looked new,

Good Luck tonight, I will be hanging at the office after work. I need to flush out the engines well from the trip last week.

What would a "resurfacing" job like that cost?

Water does get trapped in front of the bulk head, would be good idea to add this plug. Chances are there is some water holding.
