Billy Frenz e-mailed them to me. I was supposed to get chopper shots but the photog took all shots of Billy's boat. They didn't make the web site cause he wasn't in the run. There were only two shots of my boat and they weren't very good.

Someone just didn't want me to use the boat today. My caps were a mess, took an half hour to get it running in the middle of the river, tried drying it out but no luck, swapped caps with an old one I had in the cabin and was set.....so I thought. Get out into the bay then the other motor takes a crap, first down to 4500 when I passed Nick got out to the hook and down to 3000. Turned around then it took a crap just before the highlands bridge. Took it off, dried it out and it got me home
The went and started cutting and welding the steel for my outside fireplace. Drove a piece of steel all the down into the bone in the side of my knuckle, not too much blood but my knuckle is 3 times its normal size.
Should have stayed in bed today

I was good seeing ya out today!

Well dude, I wish I could say that I feel for ya. I'll give ya a run down of the last 3 days.....

Friday: Left work at 5:30 and drove up to JC's to pick up the motor. Arrived in Babylon around 8:30 pm. We loaded the motor onto the truck. Left Babylon and drove to JFK airport to pick up my father who was ariving on an 11:20 pm flight. Picked him up and drove back home, arrived in Middletown at 12:30. When I got home I started dressing the motor and getting it ready to go in the boat. I worked on the motor until 2:30 AM. Went to bed but couldn't fall to sleep until 4 AM...

Saturday: Woke up a 7:55 AM and finished dressing the engine and headed down to the marina at 10 am. Got to the marina and the STBD engine wouldn't start due to a bad starter/flywheel.... Replaced the starter and got the motor fired and drove over to the folklift. Dropped the motor in the boat and drove it back over to my lift, now it's about 12:30 - 1pm. Started hooking the motor back up and got everything together minus the exhaust. Then I had to drive to Keyport to get 50W racing oil. Got back to the marina @ 3pm and put the exhaust on. We fired the engine around 3:30 - 4pm and broke it in for about 20 minutes. Then it was time to go for the first test ride...this is when things really went down hill.. We rode down the river, came off plane and checked the oil on the dipstick and everything else for leaks etc.... Looked good so we headed back. 3/4 of the way back I got on it, we were running about 80 mph... then I ran out of room in the river so I backed out of it. As I was backing out of it I noticed I lost oil pressure!!! Holly Sh!t I thought, OMG...this can't be! Opened the hatch and there was smoke coming out... I looked under the engine and noticed the cover from the remote oil filter housing blew off and pumped 10 QTS of oil into the bilge.. I thought I may have blown the engine at this point but thought I caught it in time... Got a new part and put the cap on and 10 QTS of oil back in the motor... Started it up and everything was fine, we had 80 lbs of oil pressure. Went for another test ride and the boat ran great!! By now it's 7:30 pm and I'm totally shot! Thank god Sakoutis3 bought me a few beers cause I needed them at this point!

Sunday: Got down to the boat around 11 am and finished everything up, put wire ties on everything. Wen't up to Glenn cove to check out the boats from the poker run. Met up my Lucididee and drove back home. Half way across the bay we headed out to the ocean to find some swells but there were NONE to be found so we turned around and came back in. Got back to the dock around 4:30-5 pm!

What a friggin weekend! I'm tired as sh!t and I'm going to bed.

Billy bailed on the poker run , must have been skeered of the rain! I waxed the boat instead! At least it looked good sunday. I saw him running back between MTM and Panther as I rounded the hook. There was a nice swell off the beach , ran down a bit and got waved off by the girlies , something about they weren't reminded to bring their sports bras! MTM needs mufflers , my ears are still ringing from running behind him on his way back to the ramp! That thing is LOUD.

He don't need mufflers that boat sounds sweet. I'm glad to hear he's back on the water. We were only out for about two hours. It was a nice day out there I just wasn't in to the boat this weekend.

On our way back from Glenn Cove we headed straight out into the ocean @ 4000 rpms past old orchard. We were trying to find some swells to jump but the resin bucket was glued to the water.

It was boring so we turned around and headed back!

On the bright side, I saved $30-40 filling up this weekend with the drop in gas prices!!
