So that sounds like 30 minutes to me...
you guys wanna race me and my duct tape motor! LOL

I'm sure you guys chilled and enjoyed that ride, plus the 5mph river rides take time too.

Yea maybe you're right since it only takes about 1:30 to get to Fire Island. You are our resident river expert

Gotcha, I guess thats why it takes MrV an 1 1/2 to get there..... Besides, he has to slow down when it gets rough.

You're talking about Belle Terre lagoon on the East side of Port Jefferson harbor...... a magnificent anchorage protected by a sand cliff jutting out from the shoreline. That is probably one of the top 10 most desirable anchorages in the country....

Long Island Sound offers a tremendous amount of boating destinations and watering holes.

I went to Wind & Sea last night by boat, no problem getting there but the way home via the shrewsbury    It was so dark out, couldn't see anything no moon, lots of fog etc... scary place to be under those conditions. Would never have made it back without a GPS. I will try to avoid that area in the future unless it's a clear night.

How did they do it years ago without modern technology.
