I hadn't heard anything about the club picnic scheduled for this coming Sun. Aug.7. I don't know if we haven't heard because of having enough finances to pay for dinner as we have in the past.There was discussion about having a caterer at Fairhaven, instead of going back to Connelly's, but that can be costly and difficult to coordinate. There was also discussion of going to Seneca Lake State Park (the north- Geneva, Waterloo end) where there is a large boaters beach, picnic tables and grills.To ease the finances I support going to Seneca and maybe have the club purchase hots, hamburgs, plates, napkins and charcoal. Everyone can then bring their own drinks and a dish, dessert or snack to pass. There is still time to coordinate for this Sun. or we could postpone it until sometime in Sept. (riskier weather) or possibly the Sun. of Labor Day weekend as we all try to boat that weekend anyway.
Just my thoughts. Please post yours so we can come up with some kind of plan we can refer to our officers and directors to run with. It has always been a good social time and, although we may not have huge turnouts, I'd hate to lose it. Thanks ahead for your responses!

Shame on you if you missed the picnic yesterday! There was great weather , a great host and location, great food and great company.
Thanks go out to Ted Hosmer for the use of his house, deep water dockage and boat house. Also thanks to the board and others for quickly organizing a good time- Tim, Colleen, Dan, Duane, Sheila, Amy and John. Especially Colleen for all the updates an emails.
