FISHKILL — A major portion of the southern and eastern walls of the Bannerman Tower collapsed over the weekend, officials from Bannerman Castle Trust said.

Officials estimate that 30 percent to 40 percent of the structure's front wall and about half of its east wall collapsed Saturday or early Sunday morning.

It is unclear what caused the damage.

The damage was reported by a motorist and by Metro-North Railroad officials who observed the damage from the eastern shore of the Hudson

those loud performance boats must have caused it !!!!lol!!!

What an amazing place and to just let it go like that....

It is a pretty cool place. It has been a favorite place on the river since I was a little kid for least 35 years . And now my daughters refer to it as Aerial's princess castle.

Kevin, I have always enjoyed the castle, got some nice pictures this fall during some fall foliage runs. It's truly ashame that it is starting to fail again.
