OK folks short version, I went to the event and did my job and went home tired and feeling good how I took at least 28 kids for rides, the next day a friend of mine gets a voicemail from Dave thanking me for my service at the 2010 event but scolded me for being a "Unprfessional Dickhead" to a volunteer, and that I was"BANNED" from this event forever, shocked that someone would leave this message on a friends phone instead of calling me(I have been a member on and off of NJPPC since 1999/2000 and my phone numbers I am sure are available)(incidently I have never had any issue with Dave or NJPPC before)anyways after this message Brian Meade an officer of the organization investigated the allegations and was declared UNFOUNDED,Brian apoligised for the whole incident and said that I was a 7 year volunteer for the organization without incident, and he was shocked how Dave P. has no authority in this matter yet made the phone call, he was I am sure told to apologise and wont.(sorry for the lousy spelling )By the way Dave you are a morgage broker and president of NJPPC ,I dont think you choose the right words when you called me an Unprofesional Dickhead pal,I dont care how many years you lead people around the bay.

I went to your page but I still don't see what the problem is. You gave many rides to the kids (thank you). But I don't understand what set you off on the dock? I come to the park at 7;30 set up chairs ,tables ,garbage cans. Then my wife and I work the dock entrance putting on the life vests. And we write a large ckeck also. And If Dave walks by without saying tello who cares. A lot of people Who come to shore dreames are sucessful in there own world but fine it hard to be an indian not a chief for the day.I'am not looking for a debate or to defend njppc, just wanted understand the negative post related to a heart felt event.

Joe I can tell you your and the other boat volunteers work was not unoticed by the kids. I would greet them as they returned to give back their vests and I would ask, How was it? was it fun? did you go fast ect. The dominant one word response was AWESOME !!! Followed by a huge simle. You were part of a wounderful day .

I have known Joe for over 3 years,I first talked to him on the phone about a thread I posted looking for info..He spent almost two hours on the phone with me that night and he did not even know me.We ended up running together a lot and his house is always open to his friends he is the most laid back person I know and I have never seen him this fired up.
I did not go to Shore dreams this year so I know only what I have heard but everyone seems to be telling the same story.
A minor misunderstanding turned into this and that is unfortunate.
During the time I have know Joe I have never witnessed him operate his boat in a unsafe manner. And especially taking these kids for rides, which is a huge liability for boat owners can not believe that he would do anything which could jeopordize there safety.

Joe,
Unfortunately I wasn't able to witness whatever it is that you allegedly did or did not do, but if you have an issue with Dave or he with you that's fine. You are both grown adults no ?
Deal with it amongst each other.
With your quote from your FaceBook page,
As an NJPPC Planning Committee member, I not sure what I ever did to you to be called "Slippery and Unprofessional " ???
This seems to be a bit more than about Dave as you also seem to want to tarnish the reputation of the NJPPC as well with bringing out an issue that could have been dealt with differently by both you and Dave and now attaching the Shore Dreams For Kids Event to it and tarnishing that as well...
This is very disappointing to say the least...
Perhaps this long heat wave is just getting everyone on edge... ?
This sport is getting worse and worse by the day.
Racing organizations have fragmented across the globe.
The Speed Skiffs and Garvey Boat owners now fragmented recently leaving 10 boats to race on Sunday.
The message Forums have been fragmented with the start up of SO and pulling members from OffshroeOnly only to be taken for a ride and many came back here. (Which by the way, it is getting too time consuming for me to remove your Serious OS decal across you windscreen on all the images I shoot of your boat, so perhaps I get another angle or not at all....? )
And now with this idea of a new start up club, "FREE CLUB" it will just fragment the boaters of Barnegat Bay even more and make places like Tices or the F- Cove places people will start to feel that they will run into a confrontation should they show up there... Maybe they will maybe they won't , just thinking out loud and not liking the direction this whole thing is going !
Hopefully you can get it worked out between the two of you without ruining the Shore Dreams For Kids and the NJPPC along the way......

Sharkey you are right in alot of what you said ,However to ban someone and call them names from a man who calls himself professional is un-acceptable, I was cleared by the SD committee of any wrong doing and an apology came from BRIAN MEADE and Mike Intile said he had no problem with me all day, Brian also said I have been 7 years worthy of SD,along with never having a problem with NJPPC or Dave before(since 1999) ,the only thing remains is the proper apology from Dave P.
Remember I started these threads after Dave p. was judge and executioner of me,I never wanted any of this but dont ever Disrespect me or my family without cause. Any of you guys are welcomed to call me as we all know each other along time, but the ony thing is I needed is a proper apology from the heart of the man that disrepected me on my friends cellphone without talking to me 1st.(remember he had no authority in this matter according to the commitee.)

One last blurp , when I got off my boat that day I went on the dock and had a drink and a hot dog and I went around shaking hands and saying hello to old friends, guess whos hand I shook 1st ,yes Dave P. a man who I did always respect. Most of you know me and know what I do for a living and in that industry where I have over 300 employees we have to show respect to give respect,I employ handicapped kids and work with disabled adults,my brother and myself raise alot of money for our companys charity every year,I am 55 years old ,I have been in the indusry since 1973 and a franchisee since 1977 (at 22 one of the youngest franchisee's), won many awards over the years and remeber to get respect you have to give respect,I purchased my 1st boat at age 18 and maintained at least 1 boat evey year since ,last thing and I am done----- twice I went to Coast Guard school and the 1st rule is the CAPTAIN is Responsable for evey one on his boat, well guess what I picked up and delivered over 30 guests that day safely and when a women from the ARK or ARC association said to me that she had been coming to SD for 7 years and myself and RJ had treated her to the best ride she had ever had. BOY that was heartfelt for me.
