As I said, your issue is between you and Dave.
I don't know why you needed to disrespect me and the rest of the NJPPC by calling us "slippery and unprofessional" when none of us had anything to do with your situation.
This could have been settled in a much more professional manner on both sides but it hasn't. Now by throwing the Shore Dreams For Kids and the NJPPC smack in the middle of your issue with Dave makes it all look very bad....
It would be nice to see this thread go away, but the damage is probably already done.... Intended or not.....
Hopefully some resolve may come soon....

I also met Joe at a get together in NY. Came from mass got there at 10. Talked to him about 1/2 hours or so. Was leaving at midnight to come back. 1st thing he does is say "Hey i have pleanty of room to crash at my house your going to drive 4 hours?." This was our first time meeting stand up guy. Also had a question about a boat he gave me a great run down that i never asked for he just help me out anyway. +1 for a great dude.

You and I both know JoeD has no problem with you and he likes you as a person. I have known Joe for a long time and I can tell you honestly this is the most upset I have seen him.
Joe has lost his temper and for good reason. Dave is in charge of the club and he should have called Joe directly and not leave a message on someone else's voicemail calling Joe names with accusations. I was hoping Joe and Dave could have worked this out. Now Joe has the ear of numerous people who like and respect Joe. You should also understand the behavior of the NJPPC has not always been stellar.
Last year numerous other people including a state Trooper and other cops were at the Captains Inn when a number of NJPPC members and a committee member showed up and were unable to park since no spots were open at the dock at the Captains Inn in Forked River NJ on a 42 outerlimits with 1075's and another 46 Outerlimits with 850's. Since the NJPPC members and commitee member could not get a spot the 42 owner proceeded to park half way in the slip. After parking half way in the slip the owner of the 42 Outerlimits proceeded to spit on the gentlemen's waverunner since he would not move the waverunner. The owner of the waverunner and the Outerlimits owner then engaged in a fist fight with the NJPPC commitee member's wife trying to pull them apart. Numerous cops showed up, the ambulance took one or both parties for first aid and the owner of the Captains Inn told them to never come back. With blood all over the place people at the restaurant were in complete dismay and stated these people are animials. A police report was filed and JoeD and multiple people witnessed this whole mess with conduct that was totally out of line by the NJPPC commitee member and NJPPC members. These people still represent the club. These people are welcome back at the NJPPC and Joe is not.
The people who were at the Captains Inn were affluent business associates and no one ever called the NJPPC.

There are several committee members that have spoken to Joe and Dave and have offered their apologies to Joe as a result.
I heard the message, it was out of line to the point you were waiting for for the punch line at the end..it didn't come.
For whatever reason Dave will not call Joe....hmm.
Joe is a long time member and volunteer, personally I think he deserves a little more respect from Dave than he has received.
When a committee member (NJPPC) personally attacks a member / volunteer and bans them from future events he is not speaking for himself...at that point he is speaking as a representative of the club.(he didnt say you cant come to my house anymore)..his actions reflect that of all the committee members.
Ive been good friends with Joe and his family for quite a few years. They are a solid as they make them. Joe spends alot of his personal/business time raising money and volunteering. I think because of this, it is very personal to him and his family. I have never seen Joe this upset.
I dont know what the resolution is at this point but I hope there is a happy medium somewhere.

The bottom line is this. If there was an issue with something Joe did or didn't do, it should have been takin up with him personally AFTER it was discussed with the commitee members which is was not. I left a message for Dave P Monday morning, he returned my call call Tues late afternoon, explained to me in further detail that not only did Bernie Martins Jr's complain about Joe's actions, but also another member did, at which point i gave Dave P Joe's number and said to Dave that i think at this point Joe needs to speak with you as i dont want to be in the middle anymore. I contacted that other member since i was side by side with him most of the day on the dock and he point blank said "i never said anything negative or derrogatory about Joe D at all". I also spoke with 3-4 other's directly involved with Shore Dreams and who are on the "board" and when Dave left that message on my machine, the board members had ZERO idea. If Dave had simply contacted Joe and said he what happened yesterday, i had a complaint about you not taking direction from someone i'm sure it could have been resolved at that point and never escalted to where it has.

i have known Joe and his family for almost 10 years and he is one of the most courteous boat owner/operators i've come in contact with as a 30+ year boat owner/operator myself. He's not some young punk hoohaa and for Dave to represent Shore Dreams, hear 1 persons side of a story and not speak with the other side and make is decision based on that 1 persons story was complete out of line. Not to mention STILL NOT CALLING JOE DIRECTLY after the Shore Dreams commitee apologized to Joe and invited him back next year with open arms. The Damiano family is 2nd to none, and goes above and beyond with whatever they do and certainly was entitled to a professional repremanding "IF" there was one actually necessary. Not to mention Bernie Martins Jr has been left numerous phone calls and an email from myself which have yet to be returned. I hope that this is resolved the way it should have been from the beginning and if not then im sure NJPPC as well as Shore Dreams will suffer to some degree which is a shame.

Hi guys,
I am friends with everyone involved here. Please work this out amongst yourselves. Bringing Shore Dreams and other members of NJPPC into this will not resolve anything or make it better. Things between two people should be handled directly between two people and if it didn't start that way there is no reason to keep it going. Resolve things and move on.
