#1 I have the turbocharged 69 firebird ,#2 another 69 firebird ram air 4 factory drag car with 15K miles on it( stephens pontiacs old drag car), #3 1969 firebird convertible. I had a 4th a 69 bird convertible but I just sold it.LOL

I also have a 1986 CR500 dirt bike currently up for sale.... Hint hint

Noyzee I use to have a 70 chevy C10 BBC TH400 12 bolt posi, chopped and lowered that I towed the drag car with, had custom leather interior (old school 70s theme frenched antenea's etched glass etc.) american racing slots on it , It was a very cool tow vehicle.

yeah this new gas tank is a killer, but did get the tails fitted wens, and I was scared we would miss haha they come out at 9degrees from the transom look fine at 5'' dry. but I should get the new tank end of the week so this week the old tank comes out then new in over the week end then the motor goes back in but will have all its chit on then its just making water lines and oil lines hook up steering and drive and done:evilb:.

its like me getting my boat done today had to go to mom inlaws, trying to get there tomorrow finish sanding exhaust holes put in water pick up then monday take tank out:eek:

mine is a small block, crate motor from gm 330 hp with a th 350 she runs pretty good.
i used to tow my old 2 boats with it. hasnt moved in a while since i got the camaro, vette and boat. but i do plan a resto for it

from all the talk on the scream and fly forum it looks like organizers are concerned with the water height...if the water is too high, there will be no beach for a meet...they may push it back a week.

we should all keep an eye on this thread...my vote would be to have it the same day just find another location. why risk pushing it another week...who knows what next weekends weather will bring...this sunday is looking like a good day.

It was delayed a week last year for the same reason I believe. if they push it, my boat will be in storage.

Not to mention temps are cooling off every day... and who knows if it will be clear/dry then?

I put my boat back on the lift today and the river is LOW right now. If we get some rain, its not going to hurt the beaches at all. Its supposed to be nice Sunday....these guys worry about EVERYTHING !!!! If its not an organized event anymore, I say drink a beer and just let it happen. Lots of people lookin forward to this, dont Fu$k it up now!

no meeting spots along the way just a meet at the beach near rocky hill...sounds like it may be pushed back a week tho...if thats the case im prob out...i need to start winterizing etc

People talking about going out on Sunday even if they cancel. Posssibly a big "Havasu" style river raft up!....Sounds fun :evilb:
