why doesnt this run happen this week or next...so the weather is a little more tolerable. just my opinion

there arent many places to go in the coming weeks as almost everything is shutting down...pavilion probably already has put there water taxi dock away.

they want the river to themselves. They have allot of very low slung and fast aboats that any wake at all would destroy.

Some guys have said we should (CPBA) have a run the week or 2 before in the better weather.

people are busy with school stuff etc though.

Wouldnt be the same. The CT. River run is mid Oct. 70's or 17 we run. Looking foward to this one a ton.

Did some testing for the river run this weekend. Went out in the Sutphen and ran a cool, not hung out 85 yesterday up the river. Then this morning cruised the river at 90-120 the whole time in a Skater!!:D:D Were ready!!:D

cant wait to see that sutphen race hull tearin it up!

150 or so spread throughout the river would be my guess

You can go on youtube or S&F and look at videos and pictures but there usually allot of boat that arent even registered that come to out to see whats up.

Ive been almost every year for 8 years and dont think I ever made it onto any official roster.

BTW if anyone wants any Power 1 I will have a bunch for sale down at the CT river run most likely or I can do a demo spot on your hull after the Ct river makes it nasty for the day.LOL

I will also have CPBA Tshirts and Decals as well as Applications on hand.

Christian Gott will probably have some decals , applications and T shirts on his boat as well.

well I hope to be running by the 17th or 18th if not see yah next year but I will be out before xmass for a few runs getting gas tank next week then its back to finishing this boat rain this week been sick last two oh well good luck.

i know, i just cant justify going from a new 26 foot boat to an old 26 foot boat and i would have had to give my boat away to get rid of it quick. if your boat came up for sale before i bought mine, no question she may be sitting in my driveway.
im on the fence still, i want one but at the same time with the boating i do i want a 31 formula ss. best of both worlds. then i was thinking that 26 single ob for sale would be a fun toy to have and use to screw with, poker runs etc and the formula would be for the over night trips.

then i think a 33 sut would work, but i dont know. work sucks so i will probably keep my mate another season. i dont know.

MOst of my buddies are going to the stafford swap meet who normally ride on my boat but It still should be a fun time. I guess that what you get when you schedule the event the same day as stafford and the king of the hill race at LVD.LOL

My car is a turbocharged 69 firebird all pontiac power runs 9.
s off the ffot brake and I can drive it 2hrs in a clip on the street. what more can you ask for in a car. Ok Maybe 7'sLOL

Turbocharging makes the car so much more useable.

Ok, should start another thread here, but Ive had a few cars in the early 90's, lots of fun on the street. Novas, Camaros and even a 67 Firebird Jeff!!! But I also have more fun in a boat. Bikinis,Beer,and Big Blocks cant be beat!!!

yea, i just got reminded last night by my girl that we have a motor cycle run that day. i have 7 guys im going with. 2nd time all year my harley sees the road. lol

i was all about boats then at 20 i got bit by the speed bug and started going nuts with my camaro, then stopped using my boat, sold it at 22 put the coin into the car, then it was race race race. winning records, beating times, having a great time. then i just got sick of all the work and money and sitting in the heat sweeting etc etc. so the car sat for 2 years and i bought my boat. this year i found a cheep stock ls1, tossed it in my car with a cam i had and been to the track a couple times, tons of car shows and had a blast with the $500 motor from a junk yard and the car still ran 9.39 which is a record for stock motor. love it and used it when it was cool out and when i wanted.
had a great mix of boating and fun with the car
the race car did however keep me in check on leaving my boat stock. lol

The waiting is what kills the track for me, drive 2.5 hrs or more, race for 24 seconds for the day and wait in line for 6 or 7 hrs. screw that! I am sick of it.

I like track rentals now where I can run round robin all day.

:(Well I have three other "toys" 68 Charger R/T with '65 Race Hemi/4spd pretty much stock body and suspension, runs 11.50 @ 125 full street trim 'cept for the race fuel it requires, '79 Harley built as a tribute to my car 114'' ShovelHead- 5'' stroke x 3 13/16 bore ( it thinks it a Diesel) put it in 5th gear and drive it like an automatic:D and a 95 BMW 840Ci great car but only use it once every couple of months now.....I think it's time to thin the herd a bit

i know i can take the bike any time. ive only had it out once this year. lol but this is a fund raiser run and we have a hole crew going and my old lady wants to go in the worst way we do it every year. cant let them all down. sucks, id love to go. we shall see what that day brings. i guess you never know.

sonic, i hear ya with the toys, im out of room, i store my race trailer with my 72 c10 at my girls house. harley, race car and my vette sleep in the garage, boat and sleds out side. sleds are in an enclosed trailer tho. i need a bigger garage
