You were qouted $160 for a season pass. If I could do $100 or $120 would you be interested? Thats probably the best I could do. I will obviously have to confirm that with him. No promises.

i will ask. the first question he will ask is "will the $40 really make a difference for these guys". its kind of a moot point when you go and drop $600 worth of fuel into the boat.

So is he saying it's that tight that he doesn't have room for us? LMK, I want to know if I should be checking the place out or not... I think several of us are interested. |

Hey guys, just out of curiosity for the guys who fuel the boat on the trailer...where do you get fuel? I know Jeff keeps his boat in OS; are Old Saybrook's stations' prices ok? I usually get it in the center of haddam on my way by, but it's really busy on the weekends and I get a huge attitude sometimes with a 60' rig. Plus it's a p.i.a. getting off the highway and back on. I come from Haddam down rt. 9 right into saybrook, so I can stop anywhere along the way.
Sometimes I think it's worth paying more to just fuel up on the river because its easier. Sometimes takes twice as long because you have to fight with the ruh'tards zooming in front of you to fill up their priuses on the way to church. Just looking for some opinions, this 1st tank is going to be painful cuz I put her away almost empty last year. |
We launched the 21 at Hayes Haven yesterday. It worked out great. Pleny of space to pull in and back down to the water. No wait or having to rush. No one else was using the ramp. Still alot of stuff floating in the river but it wasnt a problem getting around it.
I really like Hayes Haven. Nice folks. I backed the trailer close to the dock and slid the boat off and tied up. Plenty of room on the dock. Still tight finding a place to park the truck and trailer because of all the boats still stored on land but that will ease up as soon as they start going in the water. I paid $160.00 but its worth it to me to get the fresh water flush. Not to mention I have a steel trailer under the larger Sutphen. After 5pm you can bring your boat to the gas pump dock and rinse off, or there is a special washing pad by the boat lift you can use when your boats on the trailer. When I asked they didn't mention any additional charge to rinse off. I couldn't see what it was because its still under cover but Jamie, the owner has something atleast 40ft or better with triples in it. Or atleast I think it is his. Someone mentioned at the yard that he goes on some of the runs also. |
10M dont feel bad, My Cafe has been dry 4 years. So 200 gal. right of the start. But I want to enjoy life not b!tch about it, well maybe a little but im going to have fun. Been to long of a resto for this sh!t. Also back to you original question, I always fuel late night. I leave my shop around 10 P.M or later everynight. I store my boat in my shop all summer. So the boat is where I am. I just hook it up fuel before I leave put it in when done and the next day F everyone else I dont have to worry. So my advice fuel late tonight and be all set.
