maybe hes running a different gear ratio with the small blocks???????

30ctsutphen 08-10-2011 07:27 AM

28 s on that formula seems big to me too our 454 trs 30 sutphen only ran 23s with the stock power, the new BBCs we ran 28's and its was 650 HP roller motors, not sure what the ratio was on the TRS set up though compared to his boat.

My 300's has 24's on them with 1.62 ratio, Im not seeing any where near full RPM from them either.

Mike,
Dan and his dad (Ken) are going to be at the PR. Perhaps you could talk with Ken offline today and see if he would be interested in letting you trial and possibly purchase a set of his props (since he traded the Sutphen in). It sounds like the two sets he has might be exactly the ones you'll likely need and they are going to be at the PR anyway...

Otherwise, I'm sure Justin wouldn't mind lending their spares (if they are 28's) and I could always pick them up from him tomorrow as I'm going through central CT anyway.

yes i am absolutly sure we are running 28's. The formula 292's come stock with 26's or 28's. as i stated. i have an extra set in my garage however i forgot one is labbed and the other is not. i forgot the seller labbed/refinished one of them before he sold me the boat.

1MOSES1 08-10-2011 07:32 AM

I'm sure you're right Justin, as Adam mentioned you probably have a different gear ratio.

BTW Billy frenz and I exhcanged a few emails today, hes a different person when you just talk one on one with him. He brought up some good points about the CT OS poker run and he let me know that he really wants to make the runs better, I wish I could pass along his whole email you guys would have a different oppinion of him IMO. Im not saying hes perfect but hes definately a more humble guy than came across in that last thread,

He Is a member of the CPBA now, and He really wants to help out with our events as well.

It will be interesting to see how things go in the future

Lets face it some one from our camp was talking about pssing in the POOL WTF I can see how that might put someone on the defensive when talking about thier events.

All I will say is he was a totally different person than portrayed in the last thread

Ahhh sh!t, Jeff's found a new piece of azz!

Jeff, did you tell him the club is "for profit", dues are $780 (which includes nothing)... But he gets a nice sticker with permanent adhesive on it to stick on his boat, haha! Did you also tell him about the sticker carnage on your boat too? :lolhit:

Billy, welcome to the club. We're getting together Friday night for some racing and drinks.... Come on down! :)
