I dont run away from anything.........this is a boating site, and im busy getting ready for the Miami boat show. Yes, all the Sutphen guys will be coming back for a run cause they're the best bunch of people to boat with not all the million dollar Outerlimits, Cigarette, Skater, or MTI owners. And I never said anything about Frank's boat as I knew the previous owners very well and it was a great buy for him. Glad he got the boat as its a great looking 42.

They don't call it the B.S. thread for nothing...I see where this is going....let's try to not get the thread closed!
In the words of "Jackie Moon" - EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY...
We're all boaters, United we post, boat, race
I just tried to give an honest comparison because I was a skeptic in the beginning. No one would say anything except it was the "best ride ever". They are two entirely different boats and can kill you in a heart beat...you can spin out any stepped boat if you do not know what you are doing...OLs can get very skiddish and if you don't know what you're doing at speed and they chine-walk...you cannot come out if it easily, you have to throttle it, this is the major mistake, you have to pump the throttles and throw the weight forward, until she settles back down. If you let off, the weight will move forward, come off the steps, and she will spin. Look at amf, and a number of other boats (yes AMF had turbines...major weight out of the rear, thus confirming my point.) A majority of the accidents I feel were owners now knowing the boats enough but this can be said for anyone driving a fast car or anything of the nature. You have to be responsible and very careful when running these things.
I want to make this clear, do not turn this into a Outerlimits vs everything thread...you want to at an example of sportsmanship and respect, look at miss geico turbine boat..what does it have. Cigarette #1... right on the side, everyone respects cigarette, OL does a beautiful job and have won their respect and place in the world of high performance boats , but others are not to be put down for inferior. I think OL could learn a few things from rigging from Cigarette, but that's my opinion. They are all beautiful boats, and it's a privilege to own any of them, some owners forget that...doesn't make you better, just makes you fortunate. If you want to sit here , make a web board for every particular owner...and look at the car forums, everyone thinks theirs is the best, mitsu, nissan...this isn't outerlimitsonlyoffshore.com, cigaretteoffshoreonly.com, nortec, mti,...I think I've made my point.
I am pulling out of this thread, because I know this will all be taken into a giant pissing match, so lets just skip it....

Dan, come on man, you didnt actually say "Franks boat", but it was pretty obvious where you were going with the Tiger / Outerlimits comparison. I mean, Franks the only guy with a Tiger(flat bottom, twin step, or otherwise) in this 16 page thread! Madhatter did an honest comparison, and we all enjoyed reading it! I personally think its a great story and have great respect for what hes owned and his experiences....Also, you say this is a boating site. True, but if you are honestly coming on here to talk straight up ONLY boats ,then you are missin alot of what this site is about.....

Dont use the pull and pray method its not proven to work.LOL
seriously though, We are always like this here (DRAMA) so If you pull out everytime it gets stupid in here you'll never be on the board.
Everyone is gonna be fine in the end no matter what happens thats whats so great about this group. we all get testy with eachother from time to time and then get together and have a great time.
No one lets ANYONE hold a grudge for very long.
I swear everyone gets closer here because we all know we can talk sh it and say what we mean and it will be OK the next day. Its like an italian family having dinner.LOL
Its such a tight knit group and theres that underlying respect for eachother that in the end everyone is cool with everyone. Even if it takes an apology to get there.
Plus the sound is a small body of water with very few watering holes so were ALL stuck with eachother like it or not!
