SS930 02-23-2011 02:32 PM

Adam,
What did you finally decide to do with the power for this year?

AIR TIME 02-23-2011 02:35 PM

hey I got a Queston for all, for the winter blues , ok how much fuel will my 572 blown 1071 motor use per hour running 3500 to 4000 rpm. Right now my saber has a new 90gal tank and if I run easy 60 to 70 cruising whats a thought of mpg. I think 40 per hour. the way its set up now it can run 93. if I turn the boost down maybe 89 . but I loose 150hp. boat has a konrad ace with 1350 tranny. Ihope I can make it from fallriver to block and back. I could with gas left over with the ol 24 and 650hp. plus if I meet up with you guys on the conn river and run to LI and back SHOULD BE ALL RIGHT. I may put saddle tanks over the summer or stick a tank in the floor with another 60gals. I would like to race the LI race in the fall. opa races no problem runnin g out there in class 400. well any ideas. Art

valve jobs, new cams, intakes, carbs, ignition, bigger oil coolers, and going to spin another 600rpm. should gain another 100hp and be making about 625-630. also raised the drives 2 inches.

Art,
Given your goals, I'd be looking for another tank bro!

What are you running for heads? As I recall, dont you have fairly low compression? If so, did you do anything to raise it since you're staying NA?

you are going to need all the fuel you can store...we have 113 gallons with small blocks.
