I have to agree that we (the CT folks) tend to be the most active in the northeast section... I also think we have the best boating in the NE as well. We have the semi protected waters of LI Sound and all the neat things inside it (like the Thimble Islands), the CT River, a short trip over to LI, Fisher's Island, Block Island, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Newport, etc all within a reasonable distance. A lot of diversity and attractions so there's something for everyone and plenty to do while still keeping things from getting boring. Honestly I think we have some of the best boating in New England, if not most of the US. I just wish the water was a little warmer and clearer at times! :drink:

Scot your spot on in fact I just this week spoke with someone from a boating magazine about doing a story on the CPBA and CT boating!

They thought it was a great Idea and we are going over some of the details right now. while there will likely be a little about the CPBA and Its members first there will be whole story on CT boating in the future:drink:

Adam you can always buy one of these instead of building it.
•At 1350 hp, this is the fastest, most powerful engine Mercury Racing has ever introduced •Turbo-compressor induction delivers a punch from holeshot to peak rev ... Model: 1350 Mercury Racing. Vehicle Type: Sterndrives. Price: $145995

Oh youd need 2 of them

maybe they'll give you a package deal at $250,000 for the pair.
