The blance of an outboard boat is just that the balance of an outboard boat, it will never be the same as that of a BBC boat. It will FLY more and be more enjoyable to run than a BBC boat in most conitions. Of course in the rough stuff you better be ready to hold on a little more, Thats the price you pay for a lighter boat with an OB balance.

That is what trim tabs are there for if you havent noticed but with the SLEDS you have owned you probably didnt have to learn anything about those.

By the way having a boat super light is not necessarily a good thing , especially if it is very light in the nose or transom. Also the 31 Sutphen Spirit(your hull correct?) was made with both BBC and outboards so which was the hull designed for. I know with Cigarette the TG and the Cafe where all designed for aTRS drives with trannies and the boats definately handled different and many will say they handled better with TRS
