Inner your a good man and thats BULL SH it that they did that to you! especially with all the jack offs working the system and getting away with it that dont really need / qualify for it!
Heres a good story to make you feel a little better, at least some people have some integrity!

BTW On a cig Note If you watch the around LI Don arnow DVD theres some cool info in there on Don Arnow. I was gonna post that last week but I was too bussy defending my brand against the sutphen roll over video that was posted.
The info on don was great stuff and they showed the resurected boat THE CIGARETTE in the video even though it wasnt ready for the race yet. Cool stuff
Your right kev I do know allot of sutphen history but you might actually be suprised at how much Cig history I know too. I try to know a little about all the MFG of all boats but theres allot of them!

Holy Sh!t , its vent day for everyone.
Well, I talked with Jeff and Frank (3 way call) earlier today to try to hash out all the hostility and figure out Jeffs dislike for Cigarette owners and why he bashes them so much......He openly admits putting Cigarette owners in their own "league" because he thinks they are arrogant and says they think their boats are the best ever, and he doesnt like that. That is the answer we got from him.....So Frank and I tried explaining to Jeff how much he resembles what he hates so much about Cig owners! He puts his own brand, Sutphen, on a pedistal, actually sounding arrogant to others when praising Sutphens soooo much! He is actually blinded by HIS love for Sutphens! Anyway, read this thread YOU started Jeff about your love for your boat. Which by the way, is great! BUT dont bash others for having the same love for there brand whether it be Donzi, Fountain, Active Thunder, or the brand Frank and I choose to like, Cigarette. Tell me this isnt alittle self/brand indulgent:

BTW I am smiling while writing this and I am not mad at anyone at all! I know it sounds militant but its not!
That IS NOT what I said that is what YOU HEARD! You guys are so FD up sometimes you only hear what you want. Some of the **** you guys throw out there If I threw back youd be mental cases about it! and cry foul for days! you know what i am talking about specifically KEV and you admitted to it today onthe phone!
Talking sh it about my boat saying it would NEVER sell etc Id never say that about your boats.( Youd cry foul if I did but you guys did it and more) Look in the mirror at what you do or what you say !
I have 3 of you guys talking smack about my brand and I alone have to defend it from your ramblings. It just makes you guys mad that I wont roll over and say yes your right Cig is my favorite boat! Why the Hell do you care what one guy thinks About anything anyway!
The only difference is I am happy with my ride and I dont care what ANYONE else thinks of it!
I make no appologies for posting that thread on what makes a sutphen so special, It was to get an insight into what other owners of my brand find so great about there boats.
If you werent in the sutphen forums trying to start trouble, you wouldnt have EVER seen it in the first place. It was for sutphen owners about sutphen owners and theyre likes dislikes about thier boats.
I know what I like about my boat and I wanted to see what others who own them liked about them as well.
Tough crap!

He openly admits putting Cigarette owners in their own "league" because he thinks they are arrogant and says they think their boats are the best ever, and he doesnt like that. That is the answer we got from him.....
Not at all what I said, what I did say was that not ALL Cig owners are like this,( probably a small percentage) but some certainly ONLY buy a CIG because it says CIG on the side and that they buy it because its the thing to do! period, they buy a vette, a camaro a chevy truck and Cigarette! They wont look at a dodge, a ford , a fountain or a OL They are looking for that image and thats why they bought a CIG, they dont know anything about the boat, its heritage, or its founder and they dont care.
More imortantly they dont know anything about any other makes or models of boats and thier heritage. It isnt all, and it probably isn't most, but there are some who buy just for the name and the image and that I feel is SAD!
I like allot of different things, Dont be misled by a few guys trying to peg me as a one brand guy. I looked at EVERY brand before buying my boat and I ended up with a sutphen so yes all things considered. I liked the sutphen the best!
DAH or I wouldnt have bought one!

My top boats in order( today, could change tomorrow) honestly are: sutphen (big suprise), OL, Appache,(those are really close) AT not very far behind formula (older ones), kriptonite, Cig, Fountain, donzi , formula newer models, then I would put all Cats in a different league all together they area different animal and I dont know much about the MFGs at all!

If you dont like that list TOUGH CRAP get your own list and post it!

BTW I will hand it to Don arnow for being one hell of a business man!, marketing like no other, only maybe Elvis came close with the fountain!
It was genious to align the Cig with the corvette faithful.
Very well marketed and very well staritgised with the Number 1 on the side etc. I do have allot of respect for him in that regard, He was very much like John delorean and Jim wangers in that respect!
I am not one for gimicks but Reggie AKA Elvis did a great job taking the excalibur and transforming it into the fountain, adding a beak and a integrated swim platform and calling a 29 a 32. That my freinds was a killer move I never in a million years would have thought of! Then adding the Steps and calling it his own even though it had been around for a half century or more! Gotta give it to him as well from an advertising marketing standpoint.
This all sold allot of boats, but better yet the branding made for an alligence second to none!
To me though the boats are just boats, They are all very similar and they all suit a certain type of use.
