The canal always makes me scratch my head. I have never been through it, and I understand there is a speed limit, but have also heard stories about cameras up and down the canal. So even if there is not a boat in site, you could still be stopped and get a ticket miles away. True?
I'CE and I know someone in a Sutphen who got pulled over for doing 70mph in a 6mph (the north end of the canal) - that was way before they installed camera. Maybe that is WHY they installed cameras :-)
