Why is it that you have gone out of your way to get in touch with the owner of the establishment or even want to hear all party's views of whatever happened? Are you doing an article for the NY Times???

as an organization i think its important that the president be made aware of what happened. i know jeff doesnt "own" your actions but he is responsible for the best interest of the club. these types of events dont send the right message.

Justin, other than jeff knowing Pat and Kevin, what does any of this have to do with 'the club' or the president? Was there some CPBA event going on at he same time that we missed?
It's none of my bussiness what happened and frankly I don't care, but based on the little I heard about this incident, it was all centered around a 20 y/o that wasnt related to anyone in the club. So why again does Jeff, you, or even I need to get involved???

i really dont want to turn this thread into an argument or discussion based around this event so this will be my last post about it....but to add onto my last post, there were talks of "boycotting" the place yesterday. in this sense if you turn it into a group or club decision to boycott it, again it becomes a club decision/issue.

I'd love to hear what the owner had to say....because I'm sure it's bias towards them, not that ours isn't....but I'm sure they made a huge stink when in reality, everyone was polite. It's pretty obvious when the police take your side...which is rare...

actually I heard the owners end of the story through one of our members who knows them, as with anything, guilty by association is an unfortunate by-product of assembly. LOL
Why do I want to know what happened?
Well If Its our member being treated badly then the club wil have to discuss the situation and decide how we can handle it in a way thats best for our members.
If its a member who has done something wrong to make us look bad or to do something our membership as a whole doesnt agree with, we also need to look at that member, his actions, and how it will be handled.
In this case it doesnt seem like it should have gone as far as it did from either party, and It doesnt really in my opinion have anything to do with a club member!
Our member who was there, wasnt even in the bar at the time of the issue that started it all. It sounds like things just plain went badly and built from there.
while our club has very little, to nothing really to do with it, thats not how everyone will see this......
I see the businesses point, but I also think it (probably) could have been handled better. Thats my Personal opinion!
one thing I can say is that the FACTS havent changed, no mater who I heard the story from, it was only the ins and outs of how it was handled that has had a little discrepency. (Basically who fired the first and worse shot across the bow so to speak.)
I am glad that our member who was there is someone I know, he is not at all a trouble maker and I have alot of respect for him and his ability to smooth over a situation.
It gives me alot of confidence that our member was not an instigator or an agressor of anykind.
