Looks like it will be glued back together this coming weekend... I have plans for Saturday some I'm hoping to get it all back together on Sunday AM. With the state out to raise some revenue on the water this coming weekend, I'm not so sure how wise it will be to be out anyway. I'd like to get out Sunday afternoon to do some testing, but I really dont feel like donating to the state either. Even if I dont drink, I'm sure they'll love to hand out tickets for noise if they cant get you for drinking...
Hey its Art on knot rights computer, just wondering if you changed gaskets for your heads to what JIM thought would be better for you when I picked it up for MIKE on friday. sounds like a real nice boat . I love the 37 ols. Art ps good luck with the boat hope its trouble free from here out. and some time this summer I'll drag Gerry down with me in my boat to see the river bay with Mike.

Art,
I agreed 100% with Jim's recommendation and had already looked for one. I could not find one in the same compressed thickness to match the other bank of cylinders and didn't really want to start mixing parts from one engine to the other either. Next time the heads come off of both for changing valves, I will make the change then. Also, thanks for picking the head up Art!

I do expect to have to iron out a couple more suprises before some trouble free boating, but I knew this going in. In time...
Looking forward to meeting both you and Gerry... just knowing Mike you guys have to be an interesting crew!

Yeah by the time we got done @ Westbrook it was like 4:30 and there was a nice calm spot right outside the entrance, so we decided to anchor there and chill while it was still nice out. I didn't feel like going to a bar and wasn't sure who would still be @ pavillion at that point, so didnt make the ride over.

860-214-9267 give me a call next time, if I knew what was going on over there I might have made the trip.

I havent seen a cop bothering anyone on the water yet this year, but I havent been out for the last 2 weeks!

Maybe it will be a nasty suprise when I get back out.

Anyone doing the branford raft up and fireworks this weekend?

There were cops checking at the Norwalk ramp this past weekend, but as long as you are legal with stickers, etc. they don't give you a problem. There were 3 performance boats, all with loud thru-hull exhaust, launching at the same time(mine included) and they didnt' bat an eye.

Jeff,
From what I understand, this coming weekend is just going to be a one weekend only full court press, I would not expect to see it continue as the funding isn't there. The state and applicable towns are behind it.

No, we have plans for Sat. On Sunday Mike and I might be taking the boat out for a sea trial/joy ride. If it goes well (I'm still not 100% sure the original over-heating issue has been solved on both engines), we might meet up with you guys if you're hanging out somewhere... But again, I'm not so sure it makes a lot of sense to be drinking on the water this weekend.

And while the cops are going to be looking for drinking, I suspect they would be more than happy to issue a warning or ticket for excessive noise in the event they can't get you for something else! Not that you have to worry about it Jeff, but others might. If I were you, I'd just worry about getting pinched for felony windshield!

Honestly, Im burnt from last weekend still! I could go either way with going out this weekend. Dont want police trouble, and dont need any tickets. May throw jetski's in the river for the kids and take this weekend off.......Hey, found a pic of my old Eliminator!
