i was just going to ask the same exact question...what is everyone doing this weekend? i know between the bridges poker run is saturday. not sure if we are running or not. maybe claudios if we dont run. open to suggestions. we still cant justify the poker run price tag: $400 (entry) + $25 x 4 (membership fees) + $400 (fuel) = a lot of money for one day of fun.
We'll be out watching the beginning of the run...... and probably end up somewhere!

I got away with it yesterday... and after doing so I thought about what you said and how stupid it was doing it coming back in just before the bridge/DEP! Dumb!
I was suprised not to run into any of you guys yesterday... it was fun out in the Sound!
What's cooking for this coming weekend???

And FWIW, I saw Jeff posted there was some type of CPBA discount avaible, and I asked him to send me details, but I haven't heard anything. If any members are on the fence, it might be worth talking to Jeff to see what the deal is...
While it might be kind of a d!ck move, I most likely will also head out to the Pavilion to watch the start, but I dont think I'll be joing the run.
It might be a Claudios day for us too.

No chance of getting out for at least Sat.??? Isn't it about time they take a day trip to 6 flags or something, haha!
I'm into a BI run if you're going.

You know all these fees and add ons are in the grand scheme of things only a drop in the bucket compared to the overall cost for the day. I've done the math and am having a hard time justifing spending the $1500 or so it will cost me to do the run.

because its a poker run, everyone including the club has there hand out trying to make a buck. The Montauk Yacht Club should feel ashamed for taking advantage of particpiants. To get your "included free lunch" you have to pay to park. Thats complete BS. They know you are only there for 45 minutes. I wouldnt be surprised if there was also a BI docking fee. The hidden costs just seem to add up to a ridiculous amount of money. Its not worth it in my eyes. A 25 year old like myself just cant support that kind of day.
p.s. scot we might be right next to you come saturday morning. ill bring the donuts lol

The Orient Point, BI, and New London "stops" are all just locations they are handing out cards from a boat, so there's obviously no fees.
At MYC, docking is $1/ft plus $26/person for lunch.
I get everyone needs to make a buck and it's not cheap to put something like this on, I'm just not sure I'm up to spending the $1500 for the day to do it. For those that do the PR, I'm sure they'll have a great time!
